Tämän tutkimuksen tavoitteena oli selvittää miten perheen demograafiset taustatekijät, kuten perheen perhemuoto, sisarusten olemassa olo, vanhempien koulutustausta ja työtilanne ovat yhteydessä lapsen työskentelytapoihin ja niiden kehitykseen ensimmäisen kouluvuoden aikana. Lisäksi oltiin kiinnostuneita siitä, eroavatko tulokset sukupuolen mukaan. Tutkimus toteutettiin osana Vanhemmat, opettajat ja lasten oppiminen-tutkimusta (VALO; Aunola & Nurmi, 2006-2009). Tutkittavina olivat 152 (79 tyttöä ja 73 poikaa) ensimmäisen luokan oppilasta sekä heidän vanhempansa ja opettajansa kolmen keskisuuren kaupungin alueelta Suomessa. Employee personal use of technology at work (PUTW)—defined as employees’ activities using organisational or personal IT resources for non-work-related purposes while at work—is increasingly common in organisations. Our review of existing PUTW studies (n = 137) suggests that previous studies widely discussed PUTW outcomes, antecedents, and policies. The literature review also indicates that previous studies have proposed opposing viewpoints regarding the effect of PUTW on employee job performance, but few studies offered empirical evidence. Pro gradu -tutkielmassa tarkastellaan työvaatteita esitteleviä kuvia Osuustukkukaupan tuottamassa valokuva-aineistossa. Kuvat on tallennettu digitaalisessa muodossa kuva-arkistotietokantaan. Keskeinen tutkimuskysymys on, millaisena työtä tekevä ihminen esitetään edistysmielisen Osuustukkukaupan työvaatteita esittelevässä, vuosien 1930 ja 1956 välillä tuotetussa valokuvallisessa aineistossa. Tarkastelussa on se, miten miestä ja naista esitetään aineistossa pukeutumisen ja valokuvan keinoin. Semiotiikan teoria toimii tarkastelun välineenä. Do People Follow Jobs of Do Jobs Follow People? : The Case of Finland in an International Context

Traditionally, people are believed to follow jobs; however, a contradictory view that jobs follow people has also gained popularity. In this study, two methods are used to analyze regional growth processes in Finland between 1990 and 2010, and the results are compared with the findings obtained elsewhere. In accordance with the results from many countries, the conventional regional adjustment model shows that people have largely followed jobs in Finland, i.e., that regional growth is demand induced. Artikkelissa tarkastellaan työmarkkinoiden joustavuuteen ja työvoiman liikkuvuuteen vaikuttavia taustatekijöitä Suomessa. Tutkimustulokset perustuvat Tilastokeskuksen kansallisesti edustavaan rekisteriaineistoon. Tulokset osoittavat, että työpaikan menettäminen kasvattaa merkittävästi (noin 50 prosenttia) muuttamisen todennäköisyyttä. Toisaalta osa työttömistä jää asumaan korkean työttömyyden alueille. Asuntojen korkeat hinnat ja toisaalta asuntomarkkinoiden heikko likviditeetti heikentävät muuttovirtoja ja työmarkkinoiden sopeutumista kohti matalamman työttömyyden tasapainoa. nonPeerReviewed

Consequently, the terms and conditions of employment have declined and the turnover of workers is high.
