Resumen El objetivo de esta investigación fue analizar la relación entre los distintos factores relativos al ambiente familiar, el conocimiento y el goce de derechos familiares, y el apoyo social con adolescentes altos en bienestar subjetivo. Previo consentimiento informado, participaron 259 estudiantes de escuelas secundarias con niveles de excelencia en el rendimiento académico en una ciudad del noroeste de México. Electrochemical and Spectroelectrochemical Properties of Free-Base Pyridyl- and N -Alkyl-4-Pyridylporphyrins in Nonaqueous Media

International audience; Twelve structurally related pyridyl and meso-N-methylpyridylporphyrin derivatives are investigated electrochemically in different nonaqueous media. The UV/Vis spectrum of each newly investigated porphyrin was measured before and after electro-reduction and, based on this data, the site of electron transfer is proposed. An interaction occurs between the meso-pyridyl or meso-N-alkyl-4-pyridyl substituents and the porphyrin p-ring system, the magnitude of which depends upon the number of linked pyridyl or N-alkyl-4-pyridyl groups in the compound, the solvent, the supporting electrolyte, and/or other anions added to the solution.

Although sport-specific measures of social support have been developed to better understand athletes’ perceptions of available support, limited amount of research has addressed how sport coaches implement specific social support strategies. We propose an objective stress assessment method based on the extraction of features from physiological time series and their classification using Support Vector Machine and K-Nearest Neighbors algorithms. For this purpose, we used an open dataset consisting of multiparametric physiological signals (electrocardiogram, electromyogram, galvanic skin response and breath signal) obtained during the execution of a driving route within the city of Boston with restful, highway and city driving periods indicative of three different stress states. Abstract The main objective of this work has been the authentication by Fourier transform near infrared (FT-NIR) spectrometry of the origin of persimmon fruits cultivated in different regions of Spain. In order to achieve this goal, 166 persimmon samples from 7 different regions of Spain were analyzed by FT-NIR spectrometry. Repeatability Study on a Classifier for Gastric Cancer Detection from Breath Sensor Data

The SNIFFPHONE device is a portable multichannel gas sensor, aiming to detect gastric cancer (GC) from breath samples. It employs gold nanoparticle (GNP) sensors reacting to volatile organic compounds (VOCs) in the exhaled breath, a non-invasive technique to support early diagnosis. This study evaluates the repeatability of the SNIFFPHONE classification result for measurements conducted on healthy subjects over a short period of time of less than 10 minutes. Fuzzy sigmoid kernel for support vector classifiers

This Letter proposes the use of the fuzzy sigmoid function presented in (IEEE Trans. Neural Networks 14(6) (2003) 1576) as non-positive semi-definite kernel in the support vector machines framework. The fuzzy sigmoid kernel allows lower computational cost, and higher rate of positive eigenvalues of the kernel matrix, which alleviates current limitations of the sigmoid kernel.
