Post-harvest supply chain is a critical point for agro-food marketing. The management of freshness in the storage is fundamental to maintain high profits in the agro-food sector to improve the distribution and to respond to retailers and consumers' requirements. Plums are considered to have a climacteric-ripening pattern, in which ethylene is the hormone responsible for ripening. Modified atmosphere (MA) storage is a method helpful to maintain the natural quality of fruits. The Italian territory is rich in fruit trees germplasm and in the last years many research programs have been carried out to characterize local cultivars and accessions for deepenings about them and enhancing the market agreement too. The Sicilian plum cultivars 'Sanacore' and 'Ariddo di core' and the Piedmontese plum cultivar 'Ramassin' were studied to highlight their qualitative traits including the nutraceutical properties. Darbs izstrādāts Latvijas Valsts mežzinātnes institūta „Silava” Fitopatoloģijas un mikoloģijas laboratorijā un Ģenētisko resursu centrā. Pētījums veikts akciju sabiedrības „Latvijas valsts meži” un Latvijas valsts mežzinātnes institūta „Silava” zinātņietilpīgā līgumdarba „Sakņu trupes bojājumu risku mazināšana un tās ietekmes izpēte” ietvaros. Pētījumā analizēta celmeņu Armillaria spp. sastopamība ar Heterobasidion spp. inficētās parastās egles Picea abies audzēs ar nosusinātām kūdras augsnēm. The treatment given to wolves differed from the treatment meted out to other large predators. The Romans generally seem to have refrained from intentionally harming wolves. For instance, they were not hunted for pleasure (but only in order to protect herds that were out at pasture), and not displayed in the venationes, either. The special status of the wolf was not based on national ideology, but rather was connected to the religious importance of the wolf to the Romans. peerReviewed
