The CDIO Initiative is going through a process of reconsidering and updating the CDIO approach for engineering education development. Previous work resulted in substantial updates of the twelve CDIO standards and the introduction of “optional” CDIO standards. This paper reports on a similar review and update of the CDIO Syllabus to version 3.0. Tutkimuksen tehtävänä on selvittää, kuinka kuvataidekasvatus ja taidepedagoginen ajattelutapa muuttui peruskoulu-­uudistuksen aikana (1970-­‐1977). Tutkimus painottuu nimenomaan tuohon aikaan uudistuksessa mukana olleiden kuvaamataidonopettajien näkökulmiin aiheesta. Tutkimusaineisto koostuu viidestä haastattelusta, siirtymävaiheenmateriaalista, sekä aiempaan tutkimukseen peruskoulu-­uudistuksesta. Haastattelut on toteutettu puolistruktuoituina teemahaastatteluina. Kansalaisuuden käsitteellä on tehty politiikkaa suomalaisten puolueiden ohjelmissa jo 1800-1900-lukujen taitteesta alkaen. Eduskuntavaaliohjelmat ovat yksi areena, jossa puolueet määrittelevät neljän vuoden välein kansalaisuutta ja julkisen vallan suhdetta kansaan. Samalla puolueet luovat arvoihin perustuvia odotuksia siitä, millaisia kansalaisten tulisi olla. Competence-based education is a widely implemented educational approach, but more research is needed into the relationship between transversal competences and individual disciplines. In this article, we present the results of a study focusing on how the transversal competence of multiliteracy is contextually defined in Finnish local curricula in the disciplines of mathematics and social studies. Facilitators and Barriers to the Sustainability of a School-Based Bullying Prevention Program.

AbstractThe long-term sustainment of bullying prevention programs has rarely been investigated. This study addresses this gap by identifying facilitators and barriers to the systematic implementation of KiVa antibullying program in real-life conditions, after an evaluation trial. The study is based on focus group interviews with teachers from 15 Finnish primary schools implementing the KiVa program. The Literary Construction of Journalism Education: A Review of the Course Literature in the Nordic Academic Journalism Programmes

This article investigates the course literature in the curricula of 12 major journalism schools at Northern European universities. This analysis of the course literature listed in documentation of bachelor programmes traces how journalism education institutions constitute their knowledge base on journalism. It is found that Nordic journalism students are required to read almost four books per study credit on average. Undergraduate academic journalism programmes are professionally oriented, and professional literature by non-scientific publishers occupies a major place in the course literature.
