In forest management planning, participatory planning processes are often encouraged as a means to acquire relevant information and to enhance the stakeholders' acceptability of alternative plans. This requires the aggregation of the stakeholders' preferences that can be done in a wide variety of manners. The aggregation process strives to reduce the information into a single set of preferences that simplifies the information and allows for the use of discrete decision support tools. Tässä artikkelissa tarkastellaan puhetta kulttuuriperinnöstä kymmenen suurimman suomalaisen kaupungin tuoreissa kulttuuristrategioissa. Kulttuuriperinnöstä puhutaan melko vähän ja enimmäkseen epäsuorasti siihen liitettävien teemojen ja ilmaisujen kautta. Se on tullut osaksi paikallista julkisen kulttuurihallinnon strategista puhetta, mutta sen merkitykset ovat toistaiseksi moninaisia ja strategistuminen häilyvää. Excess consumption of added dietary sugars is related to multiple metabolic problems and adverse health conditions. Identifying the modifiable social cognitive and motivational constructs that predict sugar consumption is important to inform behavioral interventions aimed at reducing sugar intake. Does periodization work? Athletes perform better in major events than in minor competitions

Previous studies on periodization have led to the view that most athletes fail to peak at major events. These conclusions might be based on definitions of “peak performance” that are too narrow. In this study, a track and field athlete was defined as succeeding in a competition if their outcome was within the acceptable range from the best result of the season. The data are from seven championship finals and semifinals together with 42 Diamond League competitions from the 2010s, altogether 7,087 individual results.
