Englannin asema muun muassa kaupan, tutkimuksen ja koulutuksen kielenä on Suomessa viime vuosikymmeninä vahvistunut entisestään. Language is a powerful tool. Linguistic creativity provides the means to new ways of knowing, thinking, and being, and allows a new set of dialogues to emerge. This paper illuminates how Guillermo Gómez-Peña, a Chicano performance artist, writer, activist and educator uses language to do just this. The thesis explores bilingual adolescents’ language use, linguistic resources, and language practices in interaction at three junior high schools in Haparanda, a Swedish town on the country’s northeastern border with Finland. A comparison is also made with interaction among bilingual adolescents at two Sweden-Finnish junior high schools in Stockholm and at one Swedish-speaking junior high school in Helsinki. This type of converters is usually used as Electronic Power Converters (EPC) for telecommunication satellites travelling-wave tube amplifiers (TWTAs). In this study, firstly the converter is theoretically analysed, obtaining its operation, losses and efficiency equations.
