$$\mathscr {K}$$-Convergence of Finite Volume Solutions of the Euler Equations

We review our recent results on the convergence of invariant domain-preserving finite volume solutions to the Euler equations of gas dynamics. If the classical solution exists we obtain strong convergence of numerical solutions to the classical one applying the weak-strong uniqueness principle. On the other hand, if the classical solution does not exist we adapt the well-known Prokhorov compactness theorem to space-time probability measures that are generated by the sequences of finite volume solutions and show how to obtain the strong convergence in space and time of observable quantities. This paper describes a real-life behavior framework in simulation game based on Probabilistic State Machine (PSM) with Gaussian random distribution. According to the dynamic environment information, NPC can generate behavior planning autonomously associated with defined FSM. After planning process, we illuminate Gaussian probabilistic function for real-life action simulation in time and spatial domains. The expected value of distribution is estimated during behavior planning process and variance is determined by NPC personality in order to realize real life behavior simulation. An explicit unconditionally stable numerical solution of the advection problem in irrotational flow fields

[1] A new methodology for the Eulerian numerical solution of the advection problem is proposed. The methodology is based on the conservation of both the zero- and the first-order spatial moments inside each element of the computational domain and leads to the solution of several small systems of ordinary differential equations. Since the systems are solved sequentially (one element after the other), the method can be classified as explicit. Excitation energies and photoabsorption oscillator strengths of the Rydberg series in CF3Cl. A linear response and quantum defect study.

Vertical excitation energies of the CF(3)Cl molecule have been obtained from a response function approach with a CC reference function to determine absolute photoabsorption oscillator strengths in the molecular-adapted quantum defect orbital formalism (MQDO). The present work covers more highly excited Rydberg states than have been experimentally reported. Assessing of the reliability of the present calculations is provided through a comparative analysis between the results of the molecule and the Cl atom. This can be used to allow for predictions of the same type of properties in other analogous systems.

Theoretical and Experimental Study of Polarization Modulation Instability in All-Normal Dispersion Photonic Crystal Fibers

Experimental observation of polarization modulation instability in all-normal dispersion photonic crystal fibers is reported. Stokes and anti-Stokes sidebands with spectral shift of 40 nm were observed when the fiber was pumped at 1064 nm. Experimental results are baked by a vectorial four-wave mixing model.

Complex objects classified by morphological shape analysis and elliptical Fourier descriptors

This chapter deals with the classification of complex objects by morphological shape analysis and elliptical Fourier descriptors. An unsupervised method has been proposed to identify components with specific shapes by a simple edge detector and to classify them via the description of their contours. A particular application has been arranged in order to evaluate the goodness of this approach when discriminating between normal and pathological human megakaryocytes. Alterations in these cells can occur in many pathological processes and in such cases the pattern, size and shape of the cytoplasm and/or of the nucleus are extremely varied.

High-resolution spectroscopy and analysis of the ν4 band of 80SeF6

Abstract The Fourier-transform spectrum of the ν4 bending region of 80 SeF 6 around 435 cm −1 has been recorded at a temperature of 217 K with a resolution of 2.3×10 −3 cm −1 . This fundamental has been analyzed using the set of programs called highly spherical top data system (HTDS). Altogether 958 transitions were assigned and fitted with an rms of 0.0003 cm −1 . The effective Hamiltonian was developed up to the fourth order. Parameters and simulations are presented. The ν4 band center is located at 435.099 cm −1 .

On the autocorrelation function of Rice processes for unsymmetrical doppler power spectral densities

In this paper, we derive an analytical expression for the ACF of Rice processes in the general case of unsymmetrical Doppler power spectral densities. This expression, which is obtained based on the multidimensional Gaussian distribution approach, is shown to cover the ACF of Rayleigh processes as a special case. Various numerical examples are presented to illustrate the impact of the channel parameters on the ACF. Computer simulations, considering the von Mises distribution for the angle of arrivals, are also performed to check the validity of the analytical result. Finally, the analysis of the covariance spectrum is addressed.
