Evaluation of shear bond strength of zirconia to composite resin using different adhesive systems
2019
Background To evaluate shear bond strength of zirconia to composite resin using different universal and conventional adhesives and a zirconia primer. Material and methods Forty zirconia blocks were fabricated of zirconium ingots (10×10×5 mm) and sintered at 1530°C for 2 hours. They were then air-abraded with Al2O3 particles. The specimens were divided into 4 groups and subjected to one of the following bonding agents: Futurabond U (group 1), Clearfil Universal Bond, universal adhesives (group 2), Z-Prime Plus, zirconia primer (group 3) and Adper Single Bond 2, conventional adhesive (group 4). Composite resin was then applied in a diameter of 5 mm and in a thickness of 2 mm. All the specimen…
Mesure de la performance des manipulateurs mobiles
2018
An advanced approach to flexible manufacturing is to move robotic manipulators, using anAGV or mobile robot, called mobile manipulators, between workstations. The use ofmobile manipulators can be advantageous in a number of situations. It can result in costsavings when a single mobile manipulator can be used to replace several stationarymanipulators. However, mobile manipulators are “a relatively young discipline withinrobotics.” An extensive literature review of the research leading to commercial mobilemanipulators and mobile robots was performed. The performance measurement of mobilemanipulators, including a mobile base with an onboard robot arm, is virtually non-existent.However, mobile …
Analyse et Estimations Spectrales des Processus alpha-Stables non-Stationnaires
2006
In this work a new spectral representation of a symmetric alpha-stable processes is introduced. It is based on a covariation pseudo-additivity and Morse-Transue's integral with respect to a bimesure built by using pseudo-additivity property. This representation, specific to S$\alpha$S processes, is analogous to the covariance of second order processes. On the other hand, it generalizes the representation established for stochastic integrals with respect to symmetric alpha-stable process of independent increments. We provide a classification of non-stationary harmonizable processes; this classification is based on the bimesure structure. In particular, we defined and investigated periodicall…
Distribution and ecology of the Globigerinoides ruber — Globigerinoides elongatus morphotypes in the Azores region during the late Pleistocene-Holoce…
2018
Abstract Globigerinoides ruber is the dominant taxon in the North Atlantic Subtropical Gyre, nowadays limited to the north by the Azores Current. It is highly sensitive to recent and late Pleistocene Azores Front Current System variability. In this study, we analyse the distribution of five individual morphotypes of the G. ruber – G. elongatus plexus (G. ruber s.s., G. ruber cyclostoma type, G. elongatus, G. elongatus cf.1, G. elongatus pyramidical type) and G. ruber kummerform gr. in a core (ATA13-OF-KT1) collected southwest of the Azores islands and located in a strategical position near the present-day boundary of the Subtropical Gyre/Azores Front Current System (STG/AFCS). Micropaleonto…
Computerized delimitation of odorant areas in gas-chromatography-olfactometry by kernel density estimation: Data processing on French white wines
2017
International audience; GC-O using the detection frequency method gives a list of odor events (OEs) where each OE is described by a linear retention index (LRI) and by the aromatic descriptor given by a human assessor. The aim of the experimenter is to gather OEs in a total olfactogram on which he tries to delimit odorant areas (OAs), then to compute each detection frequency. This paper proposes a computerized mathematical method based on kernel density estimation that makes up the total olfactogram as continuous and differentiable function from the OEs LRI only. The corresponding curve looks like a chromatogram, the peaks of which are potential OAs. The limits of an OA are the LRI of the t…

2017
2010
The diamond cone was introduced by N. J. Wildberger for the Lie algebra sl(n;R). It is a combinatoric presentation for the space C[N] of polynomials functions on the nilpotent factor N in the Iwasawa decomposition of SL(n;R). This presentation describes the natural layering of this indecomposable N-module. This basis can be indexeded by using some semi standard Young tableaux. We realize the algebra C[N] as a quotient of the shape algebra S_ for SL(n;R). Let us call reduced shape algebra this quotient. It is possible to select a family of semi standard Young tableaux, the quasi standard tableaux, in such a manner to get a basis for the reduced shape algebra. In the present thesis, this cons…
Synchronization and fluctuations for interacting stochastic systems with individual and collective reinforcement
2020
The Pólya urn is the paradigmatic example of a reinforced stochastic process. It leads to a random (non degenerated) time-limit. The Friedman urn is a natural generalization whose a.s. time-limit is not random anymore. In this work, in the stream of previous recent works, we introduce a new family of (finite) systems of reinforced stochastic processes, interacting through an additional collective reinforcement of mean field type. The two reinforcement rules strengths (one componentwise, one collective) are tuned through (possibly) different rates n −γ. In the case the reinforcement rates are like n −1 , these reinforcements are of Pólya or Friedman type as in urn contexts and may thus lead …
Quantum dynamics of the oxygen isotopic exchange : lifetimes of metastable states of the ozone intermediate complex
2021
This thesis aims to describe the ozone dynamics during the isotopic exchange reactions of oxygen of type xO + yO zO (xO yO zO)* xO yO + zO, where x, y and z are the atomic masses of the stable oxygen isotopes (16, 17, 18). Firstly, we analyze several methods of accurate description of the atom interactions and numerical schemes to obtain the observables for the collision. Then, in a full-quantum hyperspherical formalism, we study the actual dynamics of the reactive process O + O2 -> O3* -> O2 + O. The metastable ozone created can then either decompose into oxygen by the inverse reaction, or relax into stable ozone by exchanging energy with the environment, typically N2 or O2 molecules. Thes…
