How Do QR Codes Enhance Customer Experience? : Omnichannel Customer Experiences in a Brick-and-Mortar Fashion Store

In this qualitative study, we investigate how customers perceive QR codes enhancing their customer experience (CX) in the brick-and-mortar (B&M) store environment. Introducing QR codes to B&M stores is a part of the larger phenomenon of retailers creating omnichannel CXs by utilizing digital and cyber-physical elements in B&M stores. To collect data from real customers’ CXs, we displayed QR codes in a Finnish fashion brand’s B&M store and interviewed customers who had authentically visited the store. Customers’ QR Code Usage Barriers in a Brick-and-Mortar Store : A Qualitative Study

The purpose of this study is to explore the factors that hinder customers from utilizing QR codes when they visit brick-and-mortar (B&M) stores. The research was conducted at a Finnish fashion retailer, where three types of QR codes were displayed for customers to use. In order to identify the barriers that customers face, two different sets of data were collected and analyzed: open-ended survey data (n = 101) and interview data (n = 16). The findings showed two main categories of barriers,customer and company related, with seven sub-barriers. Societal and cultural norms are important in shaping how individuals live, study, and work. Of particular interest in recent research is the role of mindfulness, defined as the ability to focus on the present moment, and how it can impact cognitive function and productivity. This study examines the relationship between scholastic achievement and mindfulness among university students in China, Finland, Germany, South Africa, and the United States. Comparisons between countries with respect to self-reported measures of mindfulness, test anxiety levels, and phone usage are analyzed. Tämän tutkimuksen tarkoituksena oli selvittää ikääntyvien yli 65-vuotiaiden henkilöiden liikun-nan harrastamista ja siinä tapahtuvia muutoksia kohortti- ja seuruututkimuksen avulla. Lisäksi tarkasteltiin sosiaalisen ja fyysisen lähiympäristön yhteyttä iäkkäiden henkilöiden fyysiseen ak-tiivisuuteen ja liikuntaharrastukseen. Tutkimus on osa Jyväskylässä vuosina 1988–2004 toteutet-tua Ikivihreät – projektia. Aineisto kerättiin strukturoidulla haastattelulla. Kohorttihaastatteluihin osallistui 80 % (n=362) 65–69-vuotiasta jyväskyläläistä vuonna 1988, 79 % (n=320) vuonna 1996 ja 73 % (n=292) vuonna 2004. Matti Kuhna tutki väitöskirjatyössään keskisuomalaisen kirjailijan Marko Tapion pääteosta Arktinen hysteria (1967, 1968). Kuhna havaitsi, että teos on modernistinen vastine Väinö Linnan Pohjantähti-trilogialle (1959–1962) ja Tuntemattomalle sotilaalle (1954). Kuhnan mukaan Arktisen hysterian merkitys nykylukijalle ja aikalaislukijalle avautuu olennaisella tavalla, jos sitä luetaan Pohjantähti-trilogian ja Tuntemattoman sotilaan vastateoksena. Tässä pro gradu –tutkielmassa tutkitaan, minkälaisia koodinvaihtofunktioita esiintyy lukion ruotsin ja saksan opetuksessa ja miksi opettajat vaihtavat kieltä luokkahuoneessa. Lisäksi tutkimuksen tarkoituksena on selvittää, onko koodinvaihtofunktioissa huomattavissa samankaltaisuuksia vai eroavatko ne toisistaan. Tutkimusta varten kerättiin materiaalia nauhureiden avulla yhdeltä lukion pitkän ruotsin ja yhdeltä lukion pitkän saksan kurssilta yhteensä 12 tuntia (6h+6h).
