Kiintoaine- ja humuskuormitus teollisen turpeenottoalueen alapuolisessa vesistössä

Työssä tutkittiin Keski-Suomessa sijaitsevan 30 vuotta toimineen teollisen turpeenottoalu-een kuormitusvaikutusta alapuoliseen vesistöön. Alueen kiintoaine- ja humuskuormituksen mittaamiseksi kerättiin laskeutuvaa kiintoainetta kahdessa Saarijärven reittiin kuuluvassa järvessä neljänä osajaksona noin 12 kk:n ajan avovesikaudella 2011 ja talvella 2011 – 2012. Turpeenottoalueen kuivatusvedet ensin vastaanottavassa Pirttijärvessä kuormitusta mitattiin laskuojan ylä- ja alavirran vertailuna. Noin 17 km alavirtaan päin sijaitsevalla Mahlunjärvellä tutkimus toteutettiin etäisyyssarjana turpeenottoalueilta laskevan joen suulta.
