Tutkielman kohteena on Kainuussa sijaitsevan Paltamon kahdentoista rantakylän muisteltu muutos 1940–1960-lukujen välisellä ajalla nuottakalastuksen kautta tarkasteltuna. Tutkimuksen tieteenfilosofinen pohja on sosiaalinen konstruktivismi. Pääajatuksena on, että muistelu on sosiaalisesti ja kulttuurisesti tuotettua. Tutkimusmenetelmäni on muisteluaineiston kvalitatiivinen analyysi. Aineisto on osa keräämääni Nuotta-apajilla -haastatteluaineistoa, käytän aineistosta 26:n informantin haastatteluja. The Greenlandic oral story-telling tradition, Oqaluttuaq, meaning “history,” “legend,” and “narrative,” is recognized as an important entry point into Arctic collective memory. The graphic artist Nuka K. Godtfredsen and his literary and scientific collaborators have used the term as the title of graphic narratives published from 2009 to 2018, and focused on four moments or ‘snippets’ from Greenland’s history (from the periods of Saqqaq, late Dorset, Norse settlement, and European colonization). Tämän tutkimuksen tavoitteena on tunnistaa, kuinka tarina Irakin 2003 sodan käänteistä muodostui julkisuuteen. Tutkimuksen näkökulma on suuren yleisön siinä mielessä, että aineistona käytetään sanomalehtitekstejä liittyen kyseiseen sotaan. Toisaalta näkökulmana ja lähtökohtana on narratiiviteoria, jonka kautta aineistoanalyysi kulkee. Tutkimuksen aineiston muodostaa 2003 maalis-toukokuiden Helsingin Sanomat: tämän aikajakson lehdet on käyty kokonaisuudessaan läpi. In Brazil, the practice of torture intertwines deeply with its own history. The literature on the subject has had a greater intensification on its registers during the Dictatorial Regime (1964 to 1985).
