TIIVISTELMÄ Tutkimuksessa selvitettiin suomalaisten johtajien tärkeimpiä henkilökohtaisia työhön tai uraan liittyviä tavoitteita huomioiden taustatekijät (ikä, sukupuoli, johtotaso ja työsuhteen laatu). Lisäksi tutkittiin, ovatko johtajien arviot organisaatiokulttuurin eettisyydestä yhteydessä työtavoitteiden sisältöihin. Tutkimus perustuu syksyllä 2009 kerättyyn kyselyyn, johon vastasi 902 johtajaa eri puolelta Suomea. Tutkittavat olivat iältään 25–68 -vuotiaita ja enemmistö oli miehiä (70 %). He toimivat eri johtotasoilla keskijohdosta ylimpään johtoon ja työskentelivät erikokoisissa yrityksissä ja eri toimialoilla. The aim of this thesis is to provide a preliminary analysis of the aspirations of rural youth in Sámara, Costa Rica and the factors influencing them. This study will supplement the existing literature on aspirations, while providing a new approach to this field. By assessing which factors are most influential to youth’s development of aspirations this study hopes to provide information which can help to improve infrastructure for the development of aspirations in the future. The Work of Special Education Teachers in the Tiered Support System : The Finnish Case

This study investigated primary school special education teachers’ (SETs’) (N = 283) conceptions on their work descriptions and uses of pedagogical documents after a reform in the national support framework. The respondents of this survey reported working mostly in Tiers 1 and 2 when all their tasks (instruction, consultation, and managerial tasks) were considered. The responsibilities of the SETs were, however, more clearly defined in Tier 3. The SETs allocate their work autonomously, but their work description is related to their workload.
