Luokanopettajaopiskelijat tekstien tuottajina yhden yliopistovuoden aikana

Tässä artikkelissa tarkastellaan luokanopettajaopiskelijoiden (n=54) kuvauksia tekstien tuottamisesta heidän ensimmäisen yliopistovuotensa aikana. Tutkimusaineistona olivat opiskelijoiden vastaukset lomakekyselyyn heidän ensimmäisenä ja toisena opiskeluvuotenaan. Tutkimusaineisto analysoitiin aineistolähtöisen sisällönanalyysin ja kvantifioinnin avulla. Opiskelijat kielensivät tuottaneensa ensimmäisen opiskeluvuotensa aikana 102 erilaista tekstiä. This paper reports on two studies designed to examine pre-service teachers’ self-efficacy beliefs. Study I investigated the measurement properties of a self-efficacy beliefs questionnaire comprising scales for computer self-efficacy, teacher self-efficacy, and self-efficacy towards technology integration. In Study I, 200 pre-service teachers completed the self-efficacy questionnaire. Confirmatory factor analyses resulted in a modified measurement model consisting of the three hypothesized self-efficacy scales. [EN] This article re-visits three studies that originally focused on beliefs about second language (L2) learning and teaching held by student teachers. The studies have been conducted in the same educational context (that is, at a Finnish university). The participants in the studies are majors or minors in English, Swedish, German, etc., and they range from first-year students to fifth-year students about to graduate as qualified L2 teachers. Data have been collected by a variety of means over the past few years (questionnaires, sentence-completion tasks, drawings), and partly longitudinally. In this article we suggest an approximation between media education and visual arts education. Teachers of Primary School interpret the media as a visual artefacts. But this visual artifacts can be analyzed from the education in visual arts. Tutkimuksessa tarkastelemme lukion historianopettajien käsityksiä tiedonalansa tekstitaidoista aineistopohjaisen esseen kirjoittamisen opettamisen ja arvioinnin yhteydessä. Lukiossa jokaisen opettajan tulee opettaa oman tiedonalansa kieltä ja tekstitaitoja, jotka kietoutuvat taustalla olevan tieteenalan tiedonmuodostuksen käytänteisiin. This article explores the language practices and choices of four teachers in a co-located kindergarten in Finland. Following Finland’s official bilingualism, the education system is built on two tracks –Finnish and Swedish. As official languages of Finland, the two languages share the same status, but since Finnish is the registered language of the vast majority of the population, Swedish can be seen as a de facto minority language –one reason why Swedish education has been seen as an important space for maintaining Swedish language and culture. Raising the Profile of Sign Language Teachers in Finland

Sign language teaching in Finland has a long history. In contrast, sign language teacher training programs and research into the sign languages of Finland both know a short history. Due to this contrast, the field of sign language teaching nowadays can be seen as the ‘Wild West’. Till today, teachers from different backgrounds do teach sign language. We do not have a clear picture of what knowledge or competencies are expected from these teachers. In this article we would like to share our opinions about what the profile of a sign language teacher could look like in order to raise and advance the discussion and improve the quality of sign language teaching in Finland. nonPeerReviewed
