Are all denumerable sets of numbers order-isomorphic?

International audience; In this paper we study cognitive conflicts on the issue of number sets being dense, ordered and denumerable. We first provide historical-epistemological background related to these notions. Then we consider the cognitive conflicts under the lenses of concept image and concept definition, which we use to analyse empirical data collected in order to understand better the didactical and cognitive issues at stake.

The opportunities and challenges of teaching and learning in the same and different space and time have been discussed in the field of distance education for several decades. Within COVID-19, a new type of experimenting and research interest in so-called hybrid learning has emerged. In this article, we present the results from exploring “hybridity” from the perspective of classical categorizations of different forms of learning in terms of time and space. One way to address these difficulties is by better understanding how mathematical notions are used in professional engineering courses. Immersive Virtual Reality Education Application : Four Development Iterations along Design Science Research Methodology

This study introduces a research and development process of an immersive Virtual Reality (VR) education application. Altogether four application development iterations are showcased along the Design Science Research methodology. The results show how initial problems change and new problems occur during the course of a long-term DSR project with multiple iterations. Moreover, the study results confirm various previous findings, for example, that VR works better on higher learning levels such as application -level and personalization is a way to achieve this. Se presenta una investigación sobre las experiencias de aprendizaje de las ciencias de los maestros/as en formación inicial de dos universidades españolas. Se recogieron 263 relatos de vida entre estudiantes de Grado en Educación Infantil y Primaria -a partes iguales en que narraban sus vivencias en las etapas de Infantil, Primaria y Secundaria, y también en entornos no académicos. Virtual Distance Lessons in Secondary School Teachers Continuous Education

The paper provides an overview of organization principles of interactive distance teaching as well as its implementation for continuous education course for bilingual education teachers of 6 programme’s subjects. Distance teaching sessions were organized in 10 school’s computer classes. There are considered possible solutions for interactive distance learning classes. Lessons organization, based on the server’s remote session control is described. It is arranged participating teacher survey regarding usability of applied environment and made conclusions about appropriateness of developed approach.

Tutkielmassa tutkittiin haastattelujen avulla opettajien ajatuksia pragmaattisen kompetenssin luonteesta, oppijan ominaisuuksista sekä opettajan roolista oppijan pragmaattisen kompetenssin saavuttamisessa. The complexity of knowledge construction in a classroom setting

International audience; We study a class of mathematics education MA students in an introductory course on Chaos and Fractals, as they grapple with the Sierpinksi triangle, and in particular with the apparent paradox that its area equals 0, while its perimeter is infinitely long. For this purpose, we network an approach for investigating the construction of knowledge in small groups with one for examining how ideas and ways of reasoning function-as-if-shared in a classroom.
