Influence of the learning environment on the representational strategies of middle school music students: an intervention-based study

The purpose of this study was to examine the effects of a hypermedia learning environment on middle school students' meta-representational competence (MRC) in the domain of music. Particularly, we aimed at determining whether an educational intervention influenced the accuracy with which middle school students matched sounds (sonic fragments) to symbols (graphic representations). Lai lasītu digitālajā vidē ir jāattīsta īpašas digitālās lasītprasmes, piemēram, navigācijas prasmes un pašregulācija. Lasīšanas stratēģijas palīdz pielietot un attīstīt digitālās lasīšanas prasmes. Diplomdarba mērķis bija noteikt, kā lasīšanas stratēģiju īstenošana attīsta digitālās lasītprasmes angļu valodas stundās 7. klasē. Izvēlētā pētījuma metode bija gadījuma izpēte. Datu vākšanas metodes bija skolēnu aptauja, intervijas ar diviem skolotājiem, lasīšanas nodarbību novērojumi, skolēnu grafikas organizatori un mājas uzdevumi. The importance of users for innovation has been increasingly emphasized in the literatures on design and management of technology. Less attention has been given to how people shape technology-in-use. This paper first provides a review of literature on technology use in the social and cultural studies of technology. It then moves to examine empirically how a novel alarm and monitoring appliance was appropriated in the work of home-care nurses and in the everyday living of elderly people. Optical Optimization of the TiO

In this work, SiO2 nanoparticles (NPs) were integrated into the mesoporous TiO2 layer of a perovskite solar cell to investigate their effect on cell performance. Different concentrations of SiO2/ethanol have been combined in TiO2/ethanol to prepare pastes for the fabrication of the mesoporous layer with which perovskite solar cells have been fabricated. Addition of SiO2 NPs of 50 and 100 nm sizes produces an enhancement of cell performance mainly because of an improvement of the photocurrent. Direct visualization of pyrrole reactivity by confined oxidation in a Cyclodextrin Metal‐Organic Framework

Metal-organic frameworks can be used as porous templates to exert control over polymerization reactions. Shown here are the possibilities offered by these crystalline, porous nanoreactors to capture highly‐reactive intermediates for a better understanding of the mechanism of polymerization reactions. By using a cyclodextrin framework the polymerization of pyrrole is restricted, capturing the formation of terpyrrole cationic intermediates. Single‐crystal X‐ray diffraction is used to provide definite information on the supramolecular interactions that induce the formation and stabilization of a conductive array of cationic complexes.
