A Platone non si sfugge: il delicato equilibrio tra tecnica e politica

2022

The essay explores the use of technology in politics, focusing on government duties. After a brief excursus to highlight how the issue has a long history, the paper considers the relationship between technique and politics and how it has influenced our form of government. The thread running through the entire investigation starts from the consideration that between the two components – technical and political – there is not a priori a relationship of conflict or challenge, but that today, as in the past, we cannot ignore the relationship between the two dimensions that has always existed and that today more than ever must be developed constructively, given that it would be unimaginable that…

Book Review: Taking ICT to Every Indian Village: Opportunities and Challenges

2006

Atanu Garai & B. Shadrach (2006). Taking ICT to every Indian village: Opportunities and challenges. New Delhi, India: One World South Asia; 133 pages. We review official documents of the waste companies and nuclear safety authorities, plus information from civil society organizations and laypeople. Our theore…
