Electronic Patient Records in Interprofessional Decision Making: Standardized Categories and Local Use

Electronic patient records (EPRs) are a constitutive element of medical practice and are expected to improve interprofessional communication and support decision making. The aim of the current study is to explore the ways in which access to structured information from multiple professions within EPRs enters into the phases involved in arriving at final agreements about patients’ future care. The results show that decision making in interprofessional team rounds involves a prestructuring of a pathological reality. Steroidal supramolecular metallogels

The review deals with an expanding number of steroidal compounds that are capable of forming a metallogel providing a multitude of novel materials rich in their properties. The future of steroidal metallogels holds a myriad of potential applications as new intelligent materials. Detection of potentially harmful compounds without expensive instrumentation, entrapment of environmentally hazardous substances, and sensitive and selective nanomaterials represent only a few of these potential applications. Using uncertain preferential information from stakeholders to assess the acceptability of alternative forest management plans

In forest management planning, participatory planning processes are often encouraged as a means to acquire relevant information and to enhance the stakeholders' acceptability of alternative plans. This requires the aggregation of the stakeholders' preferences that can be done in a wide variety of manners. The aggregation process strives to reduce the information into a single set of preferences that simplifies the information and allows for the use of discrete decision support tools.
