Analysis of the response of PVA-GTA Fricke-gel dosimeters with clinical magnetic resonance imaging

Abstract Fricke gel dosimeters produced with a matrix of Poly-vinyl alcohol (PVA) cross-linked with glutaraldehyde (GTA) were analyzed with magnetic resonance imaging (MRI). Previous studies based on spectrophotometry showed valuable dosimetric features of these gels in terms of X-ray sensitivity and diffusion of the ferric ions produced after irradiation. In this study, MRI was performed on the gels at 1.5 T with a clinical scanner in order to optimize the acquisition parameters and obtain high contrast between irradiated and non-irradiated samples. Aims: This study investigates gerontological rehabilitation sessions of Finnish rehabilitees in the framework of life-course agency from the perspectives of temporal orientation and agency. Methods: The research data were obtained by non-participatory observation in 11 individual goal-setting sessions between 11 rehabilitees and their personal counsellors. The data were analysed in accordance with data-driven, qualitative content and narrative analysis, with an emphasis on the life-course agency approach. PROPÓSITO: Valoración de la supervivencia global (SG) y libre de enfermedad (SLE) a 5 años y estudio de los factores pronósticos de los pacientes operados, con finalidad curativa, de adenocarcinoma colorrectal estadios II y III, que recibieron tratamiento adyuvante con 5FU-LEV. MATERIAL Y MÉTODOS: ciento veintiséis pacientes tratados con esquema 5FU-LEV durante 12 meses, entre septiembre de 1990 y noviembre de 1997. RESULTADOS: La SG a los 5 años es de 68.3% y la SLE de 54%.
