Gli Autori hanno valutato la differenza dei dati elettrogastrografici basali in neonati a digiuno confrontando i nati a termine con i prematuri suddivisi in base alla età gestazionale in prima e dopo la 32ma settimana e in base alla presenza o meno di gemellarità. I dati raccolti consentono di concludere che le differenze riscontrate tra egg dei neonati a termine e dei prematuri sono da riportare ad alcuni fattori di rischio particolari. In effetti al di sopra di 32 settimane di gestazione e in assenza della gemellarità i dati sono sovrapponibili a quelli dei nati a termine.
A correction method for dynamic analysis of linear systems

Abstract This paper proposes an analytical method to improve the accuracy of the dynamic response of classically damped linear systems, as given by a standard truncated modal analysis. Upon computing the first m undamped modes of a n-degree-of-freedom system, two sets of equations in the Rn nodal space are built, which are uncoupled and govern the contribution to the response of the m computed modes and the remaining (n−m) unknown modes, respectively. Solution of a cauchy problem for an infinite chain of linear differential equations

Defining the recurrence relations for orthogonal polynomials we have found an exact solution of a Cauchy problem for an infinite chain of linear differential equations with constant coefficients. These solutions have been found both for homogeneous and an inhomogeneous systems.

Abstract The study of the optimal constant in an Hessian-type Sobolev inequality leads to a fully nonlinear boundary value problem, overdetermined with non-standard boundary conditions. We show that all the solutions have ellipsoidal symmetry. In the proof we use the maximum principle applied to a suitable auxiliary function in conjunction with an entropy estimate from affine curvature flow.

This paper investigates the processing of indefinite and definite noun phrases in discourse. It presents data from an Event-Related brain Potential (ERP) study that contrasted definite and indefinite noun phrases following three distinct context sentences. The data suggest that coherence considerations influence early processing stages, while morphological definiteness features only affect later stages during reference resolution. In addition, the processing of a definite determiner (prior to encountering the subsequent noun) exerts processing demands, supporting the functional contribution of definiteness marking. On the equivalence of McShane and Pettis integrability in non-separable Banach spaces

Abstract We show that McShane and Pettis integrability coincide for functions f : [ 0 , 1 ] → L 1 ( μ ) , where μ is any finite measure. On the other hand, assuming the Continuum Hypothesis, we prove that there exist a weakly Lindelof determined Banach space X, a scalarly null (hence Pettis integrable) function h : [ 0 , 1 ] → X and an absolutely summing operator u from X to another Banach space Y such that the composition u ○ h : [ 0 , 1 ] → Y is not Bochner integrable; in particular, h is not McShane integrable.

BACKGROUND: in this study, with a re-evaluation of the hemorheological determinants previously described in MGUS subjects and in MM patients, we have detected the calculated whole blood viscosity, according whether to the hematocrit and total plasma protein concentration (de Simone formula) or to the haematocrit and plasma fibrinogen level (Merrill formula), and a marker of the erythrocyte aggregation (albumin/fibrinogen level).
