The essay reflects on the lexical dissemination of terms belonging to the metaphorical area of 'recovery,' 'rebirth,' and 'rediscovery' in Bufalino's work beginning with Diceria dell'untore, in order to try to demonstrate the legacy of a private experience, the one related to the writing of his dissertation during the years of war and illness, in the transfigured one of literary reworking.

We performed an immunogenetic analysis of 345 IGHV-IGHD-IGHJ rearrangements from 337 cases with primary splenic small B-cell lymphomas of marginal-zone origin. Three immunoglobulin (IG) heavy variable (IGHV) genes accounted for 45.8% of the cases (IGHV1-2, 24.9%; IGHV4-34, 12.8%; IGHV3-23, 8.1%). Particularly for the IGHV1-2 gene, strong biases were evident regarding utilization of different alleles, with 79/86 rearrangements (92%) using allele *04. Among cases more stringently classified as splenic marginal-zone lymphoma (SMZL) thanks to the availability of splenic histopathological specimens, the frequency of IGHV1-2*04 peaked at 31%. Abstract Reactive adsorption of thiophene on reduced and unreduced NiO/ZnO adsorbents was studied by thermal gravimetric analysis and by sulfidation in a fixed bed reactor at 330–375 °C and 10–40 mbar of thiophene in hydrogen. The adsorbents (12 wt% Ni) were prepared by co-precipitation of corresponding nitrates with sodium carbonate followed by calcination at 400 °C. We have found that such solids can react with thiophene without any prior reduction. Metallic Ni, indispensable for thiophene decomposition, is formed in this case in situ upon the contact with thiophene/H 2 reaction mixture. The Interconnection networks are essential elements in current computing systems. For this reason, achieving the best network performance, even in congestion situations, has been a primary goal in recent years. In that sense, there exist several techniques focused on eliminating the main negative effect of congestion: the Head of Line (HOL) blocking. One of the most successful HOL blocking elimination techniques is RECN, which can be applied in source routing networks. An autonomous automaton is a finite automaton with output in which the input alphabet has cardinality one when special reduced. We define the transition from automata to semigroups via a representation successful if given two incomparable automata (neither simulate the other), the semigroups representing the automata are distinct. We show that representation by the transition semigroup is not successful. We then consider a representation of automata by semigroups of partial transformations. We show that in general transition from automata to semigroups by this representation is not successful either.
