RANK (Receptor Activator of Nuclear Factor κappa B) is the signaling receptor of RANK-L (Receptor activator of nuclear factor kappa-Β ligand) that activates the osteoclasts. OPG (osteoprotegerin) is a decoy receptor for RANK-L that inhibits pro-osteoclastogenesis. Pretendemos mostrar que el estudio de la historia de la terminología permite conocer mejor los mecanismos de negociación, apropiación y resistencia de las comunidades locales, y ofrece nuevas claves para repensar las relaciones entre centro y periferias científicas. Nuestro estudio tiene por objeto la aplicación del concepto técnico-jurídico de aemulatio en dos de las vertientes en las que, en nuestra opinión y siempre dentro del derecho privado, resulta aplicable, a la vista de la definición por nosotros propuesta como la concreta actitud de un sujeto ordenada a no obtener más ventaja de un proceder lícito que el daño mismo acarreado a un tercero. La aemulatio tradicionalmente viene siendo estudiada en el marco de las relaciones de vecindad y el régimen jurídico que se aplica a las intromisiones que afectan a predios vecinos por razón de su recíproca vecindad o proximidad.

This article focuses on the use of terms and concepts related to the nationalist movements by the Finnish security police during the Cold War. The key objective of the security police was to protect the legal order of the state and monitor the groups and phenomena potentially harmful to that cause. The previous experience regarding the rise of the radical nationalism and fascism in Finland in the 1930s and the 1947 Paris peace treaties were the historical and legal contexts within which the interpretations were made.
