The paratext on the back cover of Margaret Mazzantini's Venuto al mondo (published in 2008, winner of Campiello Award 2009, a film in 2012, a serial tv in 2014) reports the 'prize motivation' written by the jury of Campiello, formed by important professors and literary critics. Comparing the text of the novel with the paratext of the book, the article analyses some sure results of the paratext, and also some strategic gaps and reticences.

Pašaktualizācijas izpētes aktualitāti nosaka tas, ka pašaktualizācija ir saistīta ar cilvēka psiholoģisko veselību un personības briedumu. Tas tika atkārtoti norādīts Maslova (Маслоу, 2001) un Rodžersa (Rogers, 1961) darbos. Darba mērķis ir noskaidrot pašaktualizācijas rādītāju atšķirības dažādās vecuma un dzimuma grupās. The article deals with diagnostic assessment conducted in the Finnish language and literature course for classroom teacher students. The research context was a hybrid learning environment, where the students evaluated both their linguistic and pedagogical competence using a self-assessment tool. The research questions were 1) what kind of linguistic competence the students showed in the beginning of the course, 2) how the results of linguistic competence and self-assessment were related, and 3) how the final grade of Finnish language and literature and the matriculation examination test of Finnish predicted the results of a diagnostic test.
