Evolutionary trade-offs in a small mammal : a quantitative genetics approach

Limited resources force individuals to trade-off between life-history traits. A vast diversity of life-history strategies, which optimally combine life history traits, can be found. Knowledge of the genetic basis of this phenotypic variation is key to understanding evolutionary processes. I approached life-history evolution by estimating quantitative genetic parameters for a set of life-history traits in the bank vole (Myodes glareolus). The work is based on a laboratory-kept colony subjected to two-way selection for litter size (High- (H) and Low- (L) lines). Distillation is the most widely used method to obtain an essential oil from plant material. The biomass used in the process is returned as a solid residue together with variable amounts of water rich in water-soluble compounds, which currently are not addressed to any further application. Tutkimuksessa tutkittiin raakaöljymarkkinoiden rakennemuutoksia ja futuurimarkkinoiden tehokkuutta ja pyrittiin selvittämään, ovatko raakaöljyn futuurimarkkinat tehokkaat, onko raakaöljymarkkinoilla havaittavia rakennemuutoksia ja onko raakaöljymarkkinoiden rakennemuutoksilla vaikutusta futuurimarkkinoiden tehokkuuteen. Aineistona käytettiin Brent- ja WTI-raakaöljylaatujen spot- ja futuurihintasarjoja ajanjaksolta 24.6.1988 – 19.1.2017. Rakennemuutosta tutkittiin Zivot-Andrews –testillä ja futuurimarkkinoiden tehokkuutta lineaarisella regressiolla sekä GJR-tyyppisellä epäsymmetrisyysmuuttujalla täydennetyllä GARCH-in-Mean –mallilla. The purpose of the work is the realization of a composite material with long glass fibers having better characteristic than a fiber random composite, to permit the reduction of weight and costs to shipyards for pleasure craft. Structural optimization is performed by ANSYS for the choice of the layers disposition to obtain the maximum stiffness with minimum material employment, saving weight. Nošķeltās vidējās vērtības pielietošana trūkstošu datu gadījumā randomizētos kontrolētos pētījumos

Šajā darbā tiek apskatīta nošķeltā vidējā vērtība trūkstošu datu gadījumā un hipotēžu testi nošķelto vidējo vērtību salīdzināšanai -- permutāciju, Jūenas un EL tests. Tiek sniegts arī ieskats par daudzkārtējo imputāciju. Tiek izstrādāts simulāciju eksperiments, kur metodes tiek apskatītas praktiski un rezultāti tiek attēloti tabulās, lai tos būtu vieglāk salīdzināt. Tiek analizēts arī reāls datu piemērs. Darbā var novērot atšķirīgus rezultātus starp metodēm.
