Validez factorial de la adaptación al español del Maslach Burnout Inventory-General Survey

2002

Objective. To explore the factorial structure of a Spanish version of the “Maslach Burnout Inventory-General Survey” (MBI-GS). Material and Methods. A cross-sectional study was conducted in 1999 among 149 municipal policemen in Tenerife, Spain. A questionnaire was applied to collect data on Professional Efficacy, Cynicism, and Burnout. Data were analyzed using factorial analysis and principal components with Varimax rotation. Results. Four factors had eigenvalues greater than 1; Factor 1 gouped Professional Efficacy items, Factor II grouped three Cynicism items. Further analysis was conducted to limit extraction to three factors. The factorial solution replicated the distribution of items i…

COVID-19 psychological impact in 3109 healthcare workers in Spain: The PSIMCOV group

2020

AbstractBackgroundThe current coronavirus disease (COVID-19) has a great impact worldwide. Healthcare workers play an essential role and are one of the most exposed groups. Information about the psychosocial impact on healthcare workers is limited.Methods3109 healthcare workers completed a national, internet-based, cross-sectional 45-item survey between 9 and 19 April 2020. The objective is to assess the psychological impact of the COVID-19 pandemic in Spanish healthcare workers. A Psychological Stress and Adaptation at work Score (PSAS) was defined combining four modified versions of validated psychological assessment tests (A) Healthcare Stressful Test, (B) Coping Strategies Inventory, (C…

Psychometric testing of the Norwegian version of the Nutritional Form For the Elderly among older home-dwelling people

2012

Ulrika Söderhamn, Bjørg Dale, Kari Sundsli, Solveig T Tomstad, Olle SöderhamnCenter for Caring Research, Southern Norway, Faculty of Health and Sport Sciences, University of Agder, Grimstad, NorwayBackground: Nutritional screening instruments need to be evaluated in terms of reliability and validity and being able to demonstrate sensitivity and specificity for use in clinical practice and research. The aims of this study were to test the reliability and validity of the Norwegian version of the Nutritional Form For the Elderly (NUFFE-NO) in a sample of older home-dwelling people, and to use the short form of the Mini Nutritional Assessment (MNA-SF) as a standard.…

An in vitro comparison of different adhesive strategies on the micro push-out bond strength of a glass fiber post

2010

Objectives: To evaluate in vitro the push-out bond strengths of a glass fiber post adhesively luted with self-etching resin based and self-adhesive luting cements, as well as modified application procedure of self-adhesive luting cements in combination with single step self-etch adhesives. Materials and methods: Fifty single-rooted human maxillary central incisor teeth were endodontically treated and divided into five groups (n=10). Glass fiber posts (RelyX Fiber Post) were cemented with the following materials: group 1: ED Primer II/Panavia F 2.0 (PAN); group 2: RelyX Unicem (RU); group 3: Maxcem (MC); group 4: Adper Prompt L-Pop (PLP)/RelyX Unicem; group 5: Optibond all-in-one (OB)/Maxcem…

Bond characterization of monolithic and layered glass panels and ultrasonic tests to control glued surfaces

2019

Abstract An experimental investigation is presented regarding the compressive and shear strength of monolithic and PVB laminated glass elements connected by acrylic glue. Ultrasonic tests were also used to control the efficiency of glued surfaces of glass panels. Twenty-four triplets composed of three float glass elements glued with acrylic adhesive were prepared to perform bond tests. Of these twelve triplets were made with monolithic glass elements with a nominal thickness of 20 mm, while twelve were made with layered glass elements 20 mm thick. Three single elements of monolithic glass and three of layered glass were tested for compressive strength. Ultrasonic tests were performed on a s…

Hybrid Organic-Inorganic Nanostructures Fabricated from Layer-by-Layer Self-Assembled Multilayers of Hyperbranched Polyglycerols and Phosphorus Dendr…

2007

Multilayer thin films of cationic phosphorous dendrimers and anionic hyperbranched polyglycerols were fabricated by electrostatic layer-by-layer (LbL) self-assembly (SA). The film formation was monitored by surface plasmon resonance (SPR) spectroscopy and UV-visible spectroscopy, and it was found that the stepwise, alternating deposition results in a linear growth up to four bilayers. Hybrid organic-TiO2 nanostructures were generated by exposing the supramolecular multilayers to TiCl4 precursors. The amounts of TiO2 incorporated inside the scaffolds could be tuned by controlling the porosity of the multilayers with the addition of a small amount of salts. The resulting hybrid films exhibit …

New biodegradable hydrogels based on an acryloylated polyaspartamide cross-linked by gamma irradiation

1999

Alpha, beta-poly(N-2-hydroxyethyl)-DL-aspartamide (PHEA), a synthetic biocompatible macromolecule, was functionalized with glycidyl methacrylate (GMA) in order to introduce in its side chains residues having double bonds and ester groups. The copolymer (PHG), obtained from PHEA and GMA, had a degree of derivatization of 29 mol%. PHG aqueous solutions are cross-linked by gamma radiation at 0 degrees C either in the presence or absence of N,N'-methylenebisacrylamide (BIS) giving rise to new hydrogel systems. In both cases gelation occurs at quite low doses (0.26 and 0.4 kGy, respectively). The obtained networks were characterized by FT-IR spectrophotometry which confirmed that the cross-linki…

Simulation models in eGovernment using system dynamics: A literature survey

2016

System Dynamics (SD) is a method to build simulation models using computers, to study the behaviour of systems, and apply what-if scenarios aiming at achieving optimal policy design. To have an overview of the current state-of-the-art of SD use in the eGovernment field; we have surveyed related literature. Our main goal is to uncover the possibilities for future research by clarifying the shortages. The identified literature is not very large. In most of the literature, SD models use was limited to SD practitioners. We discovered low usage of Group Model Building and workshops despite their usefulness in involving non-SD practitioners in the model building process. Additionally, there is a …

Anti-HLA immunization of patients qualified for lung transplantation – Single center study

2021

For lung transplantation, the presence of donor-specific anti-HLA antibodies (DSA) is an important factor of antibody-mediated rejection (AMR) in its hyperacute, acute or chronic form during long-term follow up. The aim of the study was to assess the allosensitization of Polish patients qualified for a lung transplantation in our center. A retrospective study of 161 potential lung allograft recipients, also of 31 patients transplanted in the Uni-versity Hospital of Gdansk, between June 2018 and December 2020 were performed. 121 potential recipients were thoroughly tested for immunization status before eventual lung transplantation. SAB-testing, PRA-CDC and vPRA assessment, and HLA typing we…
