With regard to a trip model articulated in contextual terms, the research proposes to trace the different expressive ways of some travellers in relationship to the places of which they had experience, with the purpose to emphasize the more stable personal learnings. The investigation moves from the administration of a semi-structured interview to 14 travellers, then analyzed through the IPA (Smith, Osborn 2003) and the CCRT (Luborsky, Crits-Christoph, 1990). The thematic picture sprung by the analysis has been prepared in topological terms, so that to furnish a comparison of reflections of consulted subjects compared to the groups of trip, to the entertaining environment and to themselves. …

A partire dall''analisi di storie di vita raccolte in Eritrea, nel corso di una ricerca sulla memoria coloniale (condotta nel 2003-2004), l''Autrice si interroga sui meccanismi della memoria e le modalità di restituzione di un passato all''incrocio tra storia individuale e storia collettiva. Ricostruendo il contesto della ricerca, il saggio discute sulle forme di oggettivazione e rappresentazione del processo di "raccolta dei dati", sulle figurazioni della voce del narratore e dei soggetti agenti, sul metalinguaggio e la sua efficacia nella costruzione della conoscenza e sul tipo di sapere che ne deriva.

The permanent exhibition in the Archaeological Museum, which focuses on the history of the Delphic temenos and the events related to the famous oracle and omphalos, is analyzed through the complex and delicate relationship which the contemporary museum building has established with his context, as the archaeological site of Delphi can be read as an open-air museum, which was able to accumulate and settle inside its perimeter, in a variety of declinations, the architecture and the art of ancient Hellas.

Focusing on some passages of life histories collected in Asmara and based on the ‘memory of Italy’, I study the representation of the past in order to reveal the shaping of the subjective experience by the colonial discourse in Eritrea. If the main aim of my essay is the understanding of the play of interactions between individuals and collectivity, one more important element I take into account is ‘memory’ seen as a “social selection of remembering” (Halbwachs).
