Nel formulare un “punto di vista” sul tema centrale della morfologia “strutturale” dell’architettura e della città, proverò a sviluppare delle riflessioni di ordine epistemico comprese, talvolta, tra logiche analitiche semantiche e interpretazioni critico-relazionali1. The scientific committee of the “OC Summer School” inviting the participants to design a spread museum of agriculture in Piacenza, between urban and rural areas, provided an opportunity to reasoning about some dichotomies. Hence, in this text, the project processed in the three weeks of the workshop more than a solution will be consider as a spark that feed a narration between some simultaneous cultural worlds of the architecture: town and museum, inside and outside, private and public, rural and urban.

The Po River is a living organism that breathes: it inhales and swells; it exhales and releases its energy. Between two extreme phases of overflow and shallows, there are endless variations. In Piacenza, at the riverside, hydrometric instruments also took size and shape of a special building in reinforced concrete crowned by conical elements. A reinvented archetype. The open-air theater on the edge of the city

In southern Italy and in Sicily, over the past forty years, a series of urban redevelopment projects have been carried out, involving the construction of small theaters facing the Mediterranean landscape. !ey are re-invention projects of the archetype of the Greek theater that establish with the external landscape the same “sense of contemplation” expressed by the theaters of antiquity. Despite their privileged position, these theaters are occasionally used in the summer periods for tourist entertainment shows. Shows substantially distant from those of the past, as they lack an “educational” idea aimed at the construction of processes of self-recognition and identification.
