L’objectiu d’aquesta presentació és mostrar que diversos aspectes de la mètrica com el recompte sil·làbic, la rima i els patrons rítmics, ens poden ajudar a extraure informació sobre la variació lingüística d’altres èpoques. El treball analitza algunes variants formals presents en els poemes d’Ausiàs March (1397–1459) que serveixen per a satisfer els requeriments mètrics del vers. Media diversification and information superhighways that have become faster and faster have boosted the circulation of economic terms in the popular press, along with the interaction between editorial contents targeted at the general population, which are similar in nature. This twin phenomenon of circulation and interaction was highlighted in a contrastive study of the way the German and the French press managed the euro crisis between 2011 and 2013: articles devoted to the debt of countries that are going through hard economic times require expert knowledge, but also resort to popularization strategies that show multi-level interdiscursivity.

Bakalaura darba “Laika apzīmējumi Homēra Odisejas valodā” mērķis ir izpētīt laika apzīmējumu formu un funkcionējumu Homēra Odisejas valodā. Lai sasniegtu izvirzīto mērķi, bakalaura darba teorētiskajā daļā apskatīti gan mūsdienu zinātnieku pētījumu materiāli par Homēra eposu Odiseja, gan Aristoteļa teorētiskās atziņas par episko stilu. Apskatīta arī teorētiskā literatūra par vārda semantiku. Darba gaitā tika pētīta laika apzīmējumu nozīme eposa kontekstā. Pētījuma procesā atklāts, ka laika apzīmējumi palīdz saprast laiktelpu, kurā notiek darbība. This article discusses the value of role models in the language acquisition process of international students following an English as Medium of Instruction (EMI) programme in the Netherlands. Narrative interpretations of qualitative data provide insights into the identity work involved in the use of role models and the impact that this work has on the participation of learners in the ir core learning community and other communities. The aim of this article is to take a multifaceted approach to an illness as a biocultural phenomenon. Putting emphasis on the enormous potential that lies in narratives of one’s physical and mental condition may lead to breaking the monopoly of natural Sciences in this respect. Subjective perceptions of deterioration, defects and human fragility are combined with practices leading to the textualisation of illness and building new meanings around it.
