Demographic determinants of the power of the state

DEMOGRAPHIC DETERMINANTS OF THE POWER OF THE STATEConnections between demographic conditions of the state and its power have become a reason for the author’s attempt to identify key power-building factors featuring demographic nature. For this purpose, a statistical analysis based on data from selected European countries such as Poland, Czech Republic, Slovakia, Hungary, Germany and Romania was carried out. The outcome of the research allowed the author to obtain six groups of explanatory variables for the model of assessing the power of the state in the demographic area.

Starting from the statistical data on female participation in the bodies of the Italian publicly controlled companies – unfortunately worse that those relating in general to listed companies –, the article aims to identify some weaknesses of the current legislation of gender quotas in unlisted publicly controlled companies, recently amended by Article 6 of Law no. 162/2021. In this perspective, some proposals de iure condendo are formulated, also in the light of the most recent Italian legislative initiatives.

W artykule wskazano na ważny aspekt budowy potęgi państwa. Przedmiotem zainteresowania autora jest problem modelowania społeczeństwa obywatelskiego. Postawiono tu tezę, że potęga państwa jest odwzorowaniem kondycji społecznej obywateli. Zaproponowano metodę wyznaczania wskaźnika jakości społeczeństwa obywatelskiego.
