Who Punishes? The Status of the Punishers Affects the Perceived Success of, and Indirect Benefits From, “Moralistic” Punishment
2016
“Moralistic” punishment of free riders can provide a beneficial reputation, but the immediate behavior is costly to the punisher. In Study 1, we investigated whether variation in status would be perceived to offset or mitigate the costs of punishment. One hundred and nineteen participants were presented with a vignette describing a punishment scenario. Participants predicted whether punishment would occur, how successful it would be, and indicated their attitude to the punisher. Participants believed only intervention by a high-status (HS) individual would be successful and that low-status (LS) individuals would not intervene at all. HS individuals predicted to punish successfully were seen…
Trešo pušu e-maksājumu metožu ietekme uz patērētāju uzvedību Ķīnā
2018

2015
Simons's researches in the mid-1990s offer an original framework for relations between control and strategy. The imprecision of the model, its vertical orientation focusing on top management were criticized and completed by additional researches. Adopting a transversal and vertical approach focused on middle managers, this research aims to analyze the development of diagnostics systems towards interactivity and brakes to such developments. The article analyzes the results of an intervention research conducted in a third-party logistics which has adopted a new measurement performance system, including its impact on diagnostic control systems used by middle managers.
2016
The release of motion picture sequels by studios led to the emergence of interaction effects between sequels over the time and in consequence altering models predicting the box office. If some scholars have examined these interaction effects, they were limited to the box office revenues. The paper proposes an extension of the interaction effects to third-party recommendations. The results – covering 123 sequels – demonstrate the dynamic and persistent nature of the recommendations.
Luottamussertifikaattien vaikutukset verkkokaupassa
2015
Verkkokaupankäynnin yleistymisestä huolimatta suuri osa ihmisistä ei tee kauppaa verkon välityksellä ja yksi suurimmista syistä tähän on luottamuksen puute. Yrityksen ja kuluttajan välisessä B2C-kaupassa verkkokaupat pyrkivät lisäämään kuluttajan luottamusta verkkokauppaa kohtaan eri keinoin, joista yksi on kolmannen osapuolen luottamussertifikaattien hankkiminen ja näyttäminen verkkosivulla. Luottamussertifikaatteja on tutkittu verkkokaupan kontekstissa melko runsaasti viimeisen noin kahdenkymmenen vuoden aikana. Tutkimustulokset näistä tutkimuksista ovat kuitenkin olleet vaihtelevia. Tämän tutkielman tavoitteena oli selvittää, miten kolmannen osapuolen tarjoamat, verkkokaupassa näkyvät lu…
Adoptive transfer of ex vivo expanded SARS‐CoV‐2‐specific cytotoxic lymphocytes: A viable strategy for COVID‐19 immunosuppressed patients?
2021
Cellular and humoral response to acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS‐CoV‐2) infections is on focus of research. We evaluate herein the feasibility of expanding virus‐specific T cells (VST) against SARS‐CoV‐2 ex vivo through a standard protocol proven effective for other viruses. The experiment was performed in three different donors' scenarios: (a) SARS‐CoV‐2 asymptomatic infection/negative serology, (b) SARS‐CoV‐2 symptomatic infection/positive serology, and (c) no history of SARS‐CoV‐2 infection/negative serology. We were able to obtain an expanded VST product from donors 1 and 2 (1.6x and 1.8x increase of baseline VST count, respectively) consisting in CD3 + cells (80.3% and 6…
Mikromobilitātes klimata paplašināšanās iespējas Ziemeļvalstīs - iespējas un draudi
2020
