The Open Dialogue approach is a family‐oriented early intervention model for mental health problems developed in the health district of Western Lapland, Finland. Since the 1990s the psychiatric service system in Western Lapland Health Care District has been organised according to Open Dialogue principles and applied to the treatment of any mental health concerns. Tässä pro gradu -työssä tutkimuskohteena olivat työssään ideoivien henkilöiden käsitykset ryhmän ideointiprosessista sen vuorovaikutuksen näkökulmasta. Näitä käsityksiä lähestyttiin fenomenografisin menetelmin. Tutkimuksen lähtökohtana oli halu ymmärtää ja selittää ideointia ryhmän vuorovaikutusprosessina. Tutkimustehtävänä oli selvittää muun muassa, mitä ideointi tutkimushenkilöille tarkoittaa, miten he sen määrittelevät ja millaisena he näkevät ideoinnissa tapahtuvan vuorovaikutuksen. Background: In the Need-Adapted approach decisions are made in therapy meetings with all relevant parties; this poses a professional challenge to psychiatrists. Aims: To describe psychiatrists’ inner dialogues concerning their workmates in treatment meetings. Methods: Using videos of co-research interviews, stimulated-recall interviews with eight psychiatrists were conducted and transcribed verbatim.
