OBJECTIVES: To examine the association between muscle strength and total and cause-specific mortality and the plausible contributing factors to this association, such as presence of diseases commonly underlying mortality, inflammation, nutritional deficiency, physical inactivity, smoking, and depression. DESIGN: Prospective population-based cohort study with mortality surveillance over 5 years. SETTING: Elderly women residing in the eastern half of Baltimore, Maryland, and part of Baltimore County. Fear and love appear as contradictory conditions in a relationship. Following the biblical tradition Augustine distinguishes timor servilis and timor castus and elaborates the topic of the fear of God as a way of love between man and God. This helps us to rethink the meaning of fear of God in its historical origin as a human-conceived concept. At the same time, it allows us to rediscover a different sense of fear compared to that refuted by the post-metaphysical laicism as an expression of a worthless subjection for man and God.

Investment of parasitic worms of captive wildlife was an impact on their health condition. This study was conducted to determine the intensity of parasitic worm infection in wild animals kept by communities in Manokwari, West Papua. The Natif method was used, by centrifuge of 20 birds and 20 mammals (Kangaroo and Deer) faeces collected from the sites. Sampling was carried out from October to November 2016. The analysis of collected faecal samples showed that bird species were not indicated (negatively infected by worm). In mammals, Nematodes and cestodes were found.
