Pantelleria Island is the type locality of pantellerite, an iron and alkali-rich rhyolite (P.I=molar Na2O+K2O/Al2O3 >1.05). Peralkaline rhyolites (i.e pantellerite and comendite) and trachytes usually represent the felsic end-members in continental rift systems (e.g., Pantelleria, Tibesti, Ethiopia, Afar, Kenya, Bain and Range, South Greenland) and in oceanic sland settings (Socorro Is., Easter Is., Iceland and Azores). This paper explores the challenge of finding common ground between the Finns and the Chinese in the context of co-operation, trade and inward investment facilitation related to general lack of specific interest displayed by the Chinese. The article is ethnographic in nature and is mainly based on data obtained from interviewing individuals working for local governments in Finland and one of the state agencies responsible for attracting foreign investment. Maģistra darbā „Jauniešu priekšstati par ģimenes vērtībām: Latvijas lielāko konfesiju perspektīva” tematu noteica 21.gadsimta vērtību krīze, īpaši attiecībā uz ģimenes vērtībām. Pētījuma mērķis bija izpētīt jauniešu priekšstatus par ģimenes vērtībām, Latvijas lielāko kristīgo konfesiju izpratnes perspektīvā. Lai varētu noformulēt ģimenes vērtības tika veikta literatūras analīze, kā arī intervēti septiņi Latvijas lielāko konfesiju vadošie pārstāvji. Veiktajā aptaujā kristīgo un nekristīgo jauniešu grupās tika konstatētas statistiski nozīmīgas atšķirības iegūtajos datos, kas liecina par to, ka skolās ar kristīgu virzienu tiek pievērsta lielāka uzmanība ģimenes jautājumiem nekā tas ir vispārīg…

Background: Central neuropathic pain represents one of the most common symptoms in multiple sclerosis (MS) and it seriously affects quality of life. Spinal mechanisms may contribute to the pathogenesis of neuropathic pain in MS. Converging evidence from animal models and neurophysiological and clinical studies in humans suggests a potential effect of transcranial direct current stimulation (tc-DCS) on neuropathic pain. Spinal application of DCS, i.e., transcutaneous spinal DCS (ts-DCS), may modulate nociception through inhibition of spinal reflexes. Mērķa sasniegšanai izmanto reālu statistiku par transportlīdzekļu un gājēju skaitu konkrētos pilsētas krustojumos. Uz šīs statistikas pamata paredzēts veikt simulācijas, kuru rezultātā iespējama konkrētu risinājumu efektivitātes izvērtēšana. Risinājumu mērķis ir samazināt pārvietošanās aizturi visiem ceļu satiksmes dalībniekiem, priekšroku dodot gājējiem.

El trasplante de sangre de cordón umbilical (TSCU) ha experimentado un auge muy importante en los últimos años como alternativa a la médula ósea y sangre periférica, debido a la dificultad de encontrar donantes altruistas de estas fuentes de progenitores hematopoyéticos. Los datos clínicos disponibles hasta la fecha muestran una supervivencia libre de enfermedad similar a la observada con el trasplante de médula ósea (TMO) o sangre periférica (TSP). Sin embargo, como consecuencia de la baja dosis celular contenida en la SCU, la tasa de fallo de injertos es más elevada y el tiempo hasta la recuperación de la neutropenia más prolongado.
