Šajā pētījumā autore izvērtē riska tolerances saikni ar tādiem faktoriem kā dzimums, vecums un finanšu kompetences, veicot respondentu aptauju 2021.gada aprīlī Latvijā un Igaunijā. Pētījumā tiek izmantota I.Wahl un E.Kircher 2020.gada pētījuma metodoloģiju, apskatot četras riska tolerances kategorijas un to atšķirības, pieņemot lēmumus par ieguldījumu produktu iegādi. Pirmkārt, pētījums atklāj, ka pastāv būtiskas dzimumu atšķirības riska tolerancē, kur vīrieši visās četrās riska tolerances kategorijās uzrāda lielāku risku noturību salīdzinājumā ar sievietēm. Background Radioresistance limits the effectiveness of radiotherapy in head and neck squamous cell carcinoma. We previously demonstrated post-radiogenic mitogen-activated protein kinase (MAPK) pathway activation and vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF) release resulting in reduced tumor cell response. Genetic polymorphism at the CSN1S1 gene in Girgentana dairy goat breed

The aim of this work was to evaluate the variability of the αs1-casein locus in the endangered Girgentana dairy goat breed in order to define genetic improvement and a conservation program for this breed. The study was performed on 200 dairy goats by means of different PCR protocols. The most frequent alleles were A (0.590) and F (0.290) followed by B (0.065) and N (0.047). CSN1S1 E allele was identified with a very low frequency (0.008). The most common genotype was AF (0.365) followed by AA (0.340). First, an efficient design strategy for bandpass waveguide filters including the rounded corners arising from low-cost manufacturing procedures is presented. Background In a recently performed survey with 4000 randomly selected persons, 68 (7.2 %) of 948 respondents reported intolerance and/or allergy-like symptoms to wine. The aim of this study was to analyze whether a real sensitization to wine proteins could be confirmed by diagnostic and/or immunological settings. This work aims to describe the wine fermentation characteristics of 23 natural S. cerevisiae × S. kudriavzevii hybrid yeasts related to fermentative environments isolated from different regions and their significance for the aroma spectra of the produced wines. Fermentations were performed at 12 °C in artificial must, and S. cerevisiae and S. kudriavzevii pure species strains were used for comparison purposes. Abstract The marine demosponge Geodia cydonium encodes a gene, termed GCXPB , which displays 62% identity to the human XPB/ERCC-3 gene that specifically corrects the repair defect in xeroderma pigmentosum and in Cockayne's syndrome. The cDNA was isolated and characterized the deduced aa sequence, XPB_GEOCY, with the calculated size of 91,541 Da comprises the characteristic domains found in the related helicases. Phylogenetic tree analysis revealed that the sponge sequence is grouped to the metazoan related XPB/ERCC-3 polypeptides.
