Psychometrics of the Spanish Version of the Screen for Adult Anxiety Related Disorders (SCAARED)

Objectives: To translate and validate the Screen for Adult Anxiety Related Disorders (SCAARED) questionnaire into Spanish.Method: The original SCAARED was translated into Spanish and administered to a non-clinical sample of 131 university students (92.4% women, mean age 22 years) in Valencia, Spain. To assess the concurrent validity of the SCAARED, the Depression, Anxiety and Stress Scale−21(DASS) and the Beck's Anxiety Inventory (BAI) were also administered. Genome-Wide Association Studies are widely used to correlate phenotypic traits with genetic variants. These studies usually compare the genetic variation between two groups to single out certain Single Nucleotide Polymorphisms (SNPs) that are linked to a phenotypic variation in one of the groups. However, it is necessary to have a large enough sample size to find statistically significant correlations. Lietotājam ir jāievada konkrētas mīklas dati izklājlapu programmā, tādā kā MS Excel, un lietotne attēlo mīklas atrisinājumu. Lietotne var apstrādāt arī iepriekš ierakstītas mīklas. Ievaddatu pārbaude dod paziņojumus par iespējamo mīklas nepareizo ievadu – nav atrisinājumu vai ir vairāki atrisinājumi. Darba gaitā izveidots Kakuro risinātājs, kas atbilst aprakstītām prasībām.

Ausgeprägte Virilisierung in der Postmenopause - eine Falldarstellung

Severe postmenopausal virilization is a rare event in clinical practice. To evaluate ovarian or adrenal hyperandrogenism endocrine tests and imaging are useful diagnostic tools. We report a case of a postmenopausal woman with hirsutism and androgenetic alopecia. A malignant cause for the present disorder could be excluded by imaging. Selective venous sampling was administered with increased testosterone level of the right adrenal vein. Right adrenalectomy and right oophorctomy was recommended.
