Adaptive synchronization of master-slave systems with mixed neutral and discrete time-delays and nonlinear perturbations

This paper investigates the delay-dependent adaptive synchronization problem of the master and slave structure of linear systems with both constant neutral and time-varying discrete time-delays and nonlinear perturbations based on the Barbalat lemma and matching conditions. An adaption law which includes the master-slave parameters is obtained by using the Lyapunov functional method and inequality techniques to synchronize the master-slave systems without the knowledge of upper bounds of perturbation terms. Interest in systematic reviews and meta-analyses is high and there is a demand for education on these topics in relation to geriatric medicine. We need more resources in the EuGMS for education for meta-research tailored for geriatric medicine. There has been an exponential increase in meta-research, especially in the branch dealing with systematic reviews [SRs] and meta-analyses [MAs]. Magnetic moments of the Lambda(1405) and Lambda(1670) resonances

By using techniques of unitarized chiral perturbation theory, where the $\Lambda(1405)$ and $\Lambda(1670)$ resonances are dynamically generated, we evaluate the magnetic moments of these resonances and their transition magnetic moment. The results obtained here differ appreciably from those obtained with existing quark models. The width for the $\Lambda(1670) \to \Lambda(1405) \gamma$ transition is also evaluated leading to a branching ratio of the order of $2 \times 10^{-6}$.
A pedagogical approach to the Magnus expansion

Time-dependent perturbation theory as a tool to compute approximate solutions of the Schrodinger equation does not preserve unitarity. Here we present, in a simple way, how the Magnus expansion (also known as exponential perturbation theory) provides such unitary approximate solutions. The purpose is to illustrate the importance and consequences of such a property. We suggest that the Magnus expansion may be introduced to students in advanced courses of quantum mechanics.

Orthostatic hypotension and health outcomes: an umbrella review of observational studies

To investigate potential relationships between orthostatic hypotension (OH) and negative health outcomes and mortality, through an umbrella review with integrated meta-analyses. Orthostatic hypotension is significantly associated with several negative outcomes in older people, but a suggestive evidence is available only for higher risk of coronary heart disease congestive heart failure, stroke, falls dementia, and all-cause mortality. Nel 2008, il Consorzio di ricerca Co.Ri.S.S.I.A., nell’ambito del progetto PRO.FLOR.MER., ha avviato, una ricerca per valutare l’idoneità di substrati contenenti quantità crescenti di compost, miscelate alle tradizionali torbe, per la coltivazione in vaso di una varietà di Capsicum annuum (var. Pisellino) e di un biotipo siciliano di Rosmarinus officinalis (S.Vito TP).
