Its incidence ranges between 1.2% and 32.2%, although this number may vary depending on the screening tool used. Implicit learning of a repeated segment in continuous tracking: A reappraisal

Several prior studies (e.g., Shea, Wulf, Whitacre, & Park, 2001; Wulf & Schmidt, 1997) have apparently demonstrated implicit learning of a repeated segment in continuous-tracking tasks. In two conceptual replications of these studies, we failed to reproduce the original findings. However, these findings were reproduced in a third experiment, in which we used the same repeated segment as that used in the Wulf et al. studies. Analyses of the velocity and the acceleration of the target suggests that this repeated segment could be easier to track than the random segments serving as control, accounting for the results of Wulf and collaborators. Quality includes both tangible measurable factors (rice characteristics) and the context of consumption. Any damage to the retina can lead to severe consequences like blindness. This visual impairment is preventable by early detection of ocular abnormalities. Computer-aided diagnosis (CAD) for ocular abnormalities is built by analyzing retinal imaging modalities, for instance, Color Fundus Photography (CFP). The main objectives of this thesis are to build two CAD models, one to detect the microaneurysms (MAs), the first visible symptom of diabetic retinopathy, and the other for multi-label detection of 28 ocular abnormalities consisting of frequent and rare abnormalities from a single CFP by using deep learning-based approaches. National audience; Nous décrivons deux expériences nous permettant de manipuler les propriétés de cohérence d'ondes partiellement cohérentes. Les montages expérimentaux développés reposent sur la manipulation de la phase spectrale du champ initial, assistée éventuellement d'une modulation sinusoïdale préalable de sa phase temporelle. Les signaux d'autocorrélation en intensité mesurés soulignent le changement significatif des caractéristiques temporelles des signaux incohérents obtenus.

Effects of PET packaging on the quality of an orange juice made from concentrate

An orange juice made from concentrate was conditioned in three different PET (PolyEthylene Terephtalate) and glass packagings. Influence of storage conditions (length of storage, light, oxygen) on vitamin C content, browning index, and colour were measured. Results show that permeability to oxygen of PET packagings is the major factor detrimentally affecting the above parameters.
