Generalised power series solutions of sub-analytic differential equations

2006

Abstract We show that if a solution y ( x ) of a sub-analytic differential equation admits an asymptotic expansion ∑ i = 1 ∞ c i x μ i , μ i ∈ R + , then the exponents μ i belong to a finitely generated semi-group of R + . We deduce a similar result for the components of non-oscillating trajectories of real analytic vector fields in dimension n. To cite this article: M. Matusinski, J.-P. Rolin, C. R. Acad. Sci. A Novel Non-Stationary Channel Model Utilizing Brownian Random Paths

2014

This paper proposes a non-stationary channel model in which real-time dynamics of the mobile station (MS) are taken into account. We utilize Brownian motion (BM) processes to model targeted and non-targeted dynamics of the MS. The proposed trajectory model consists of both drift and random components to capture both targeted and non-targeted motions of the MS. The Brownian trajectory model is then employed to provide a non-stationary channel model, in which the scattering effects of the propagation area are modelled by a non-centred one-ring geometric scattering model. The starting point of the motion is a fixed point in the propagation environment, whereas its terminating point is a random…

Trajectory robust control of autonomous quadcopters based on model decoupling and disturbance estimation

2021

In this article, a systematic procedure is given for determining a robust motion control law for autonomous quadcopters, starting from an input–output linearizable model. In particular, the suggested technique can be considered as a robust feedback linearization (FL), where the nonlinear state-feedback terms, which contain the aerodynamic forces and moments and other unknown disturbances, are estimated online by means of extended state observers. Therefore, the control system is made robust against unmodelled dynamics and endogenous as well as exogenous disturbances. The desired closed-loop dynamics is obtained by means of pole assignment. To have a feasible control action, that is, the fo…

ROS/Gazebo-Based Simulation of Quadcopter Aircrafts

2018

The main purpose of this work is to present a tutorial description on how to design and develop an observer, which is capable of estimating the position and the orientation of a drone commanded by a controller, whose shape and structure are unknown. Starting from Newton's and Euler's laws, a mathematical model describing the dynamics of a quadcopter has first been obtained. By linearizing this model it is possible to implement a Luenberger observer and validate it with simulations in a Linux environment, thanks to the use of the Ardupilot controller and the Gazebo simulator. Finally, starting from the results obtained from the simulation, it is possible to evaluate the error made in the est…

Identification of patterns og change on mongitudinal data, illustrated by two exemples : study of hospital pathways in the management of cancer. Cons…

2014

Context In healthcare domain, data mining for knowledge discovery represent a growing issue. Questions about the organisation of healthcare system and the study of the relation between treatment and quality of life (QoL) perceived could be addressed that way. The evolution of technologies provides us with efficient data mining tools and statistical packages containing advanced methods available for non-experts. We illustrate this approach through two issues: 1 / What organisation of healthcare system for cancer diseases management? 2 / Exploring in patients suffering from metastatic cancer, the relationship between health-related QoL perceived and treatment received as part of a clinical tr…

Time-dependent ground-state correlations in heavy ion scattering

1982

Using a time-dependent generator-coordinate method, we derive a theory for time-dependent collective ground-state correlations which account for some quantum fluctuations about a TDHF trajectory. This theory is particularly suited for evaluating spreading widths of collective one-body operators. As an application we study head-on collision of heavy ions in a one-dimensional model. As one of the prominent results we find a substantial enhancement of the spreading width of the internal excitation energy due to the correlations.

A neural network approach to movement pattern analysis.

2004

Movements are time-dependent processes and so can be modelled by time-series of coordinates: E.g., each articulation has geometric coordinates; the set of the coordinates of the relevant articulations build a high-dimensional configuration. These configurations--or "patterns"--give reason for analysing movements by means of neural networks: The Kohonen Feature Map (KFM) is a special type of neural network, which (after having been coined by training with appropriate pattern samples) is able to recognize single patterns as members of pattern clusters. This way, for example, the particular configurations of a given movement can be identified as belonging to respective configuration clusters, …

Bifurcations of Reachable Sets Near an Abnormal Direction and Consequences

2007

We describe precisely, under generic conditions, the contact and the bifurcations of the reachable set at time T along an abnormal direction, first for a single-input affine control system with constraint on the control, and then as an application for a sub-Riemannian system of rank 2. As a consequence we obtain in sub-Riemannian geometry a new splitting-up of the sphere near an abnormal minimizer γ into two sectors, bordered by the first Pontryagin’s cone along γ, called the L ∞-sector and the L 2-sector. Moreover we find again necessary and sufficient conditions of optimality of an abnormal trajectory for such systems, for any optimization problem.

Robust Discrete-Time Lateral Control of Racecars by Unknown Input Observers

2023

This brief addresses the robust lateral control problem for self-driving racecars. It proposes a discrete-time estimation and control solution consisting of a delayed unknown input-state observer (UIO) and a robust tracking controller. Based on a nominal vehicle model, describing its motion with respect to a generic desired trajectory and requiring no information about the surrounding environment, the observer reconstructs the total force disturbance signal, resulting from imperfect knowledge of the time-varying tire-road interface characteristics, presence of other vehicles nearby, wind gusts, and other model uncertainty. Then, the controller actively compensates the estimated force and as…
