1D coordination polymer based on copper(II)-containing tetrameric 1,2,3-triazole ligand from click chemistry: Magnetic and catalytic properties
2019
Abstract A novel tetrameric tetra[O-((1-benzyl-1H-1,2,3-triazol-4-yl)methyl)]-pentaerythritol (TBTP) has been synthesized using click chemistry strategy. TBTP was characterized and used as ligand to form new Cu(II) complexes, forming 1-D coordination polymers. Two square planar complexes were characterized by single-crystal X-ray diffraction, presenting formula [Cu(TBTP)][Cu(NO3)4] (1) and [Cu(TBTP)](NO3)2 (2). In both structures, a cationic 1-D coordination polymer (CP) has been formed. The CP contain a 1:1 Cu(II)/TBTP ratio with four neutral triazole groups coordinating the Cu(II) center, forming a Cu N bonds ranging 1.988(2)–2.001(2) A. The study of the magnetic properties of compounds 1…

Mononuclear rearrangement of heterocycles in ionic liquids catalyzed by copper(II) salts
2008
Abstract The reactivity of E- and Z-phenylhydrazones of 3-benzoyl-5-phenyl-1,2,4-oxadiazole in the presence of CuCl2 and Cu(ClO4)2·6H2O has been studied in four imidazolium ionic liquids [bmim][X] (X=BF4−, PF6−, SbF6− and CF3SO3−). The reaction may follow different mechanistic patterns, depending on the nature of the ionic liquid anion, accounting for both qualitative and kinetic data. In the presence of CuCl2, two processes take place at the same time, i.e., the E⇆Z isomerization and the rearrangement of Z-isomer into the relevant 4-benzoylamino-2,5-diphenyl-1,2,3-triazole. In contrast, in the presence of Cu(ClO4)2·6H2O, the rearrangement occurs only in solution of [bmim][BF4] and [bmim][C…
Fast enantiomeric separation of uniconazole and diniconazole by electrokinetic chromatography using an anionic cyclodextrin: application to the deter…
2000
The enantiomeric resolution of the fungicides uniconazole and diniconazole was performed using electrokinetic chromatography with cyclodextrins as pseudostationary phase (CD-EKC). A systematic evaluation of several chiral selectors was made. The anionic derivative carboxymethylated-gamma-cyclodextrin (CM-gamma-CD) was found to be the most appropriate for the enantioseparation of fungicides among all cyclodextrins tested. The influence of some experimental conditions such as nature and buffer pH, chiral selector concentration, and temperature on the enantiomeric separation of the compounds studied was also investigated. The use of a 50 mM phosphate buffer (pH 6.5) containing 5 mM CM-gamma-CD…
Dual orexin receptor blocker suvorexant attenuates hypercapnic ventilatory augmentation in mice
2022
Suvorexant (Belsomra(R)), a dual orexin receptor antagonist widely used in the treatment of insomnia, inhibits the arousal system in the brain. However, the drug’s ventilatory effects have not been fully explored. This study aims to investigate the expression of orexin receptors in respiratory neurons and the effects of suvorexant on ventilation. Immunohistology of brainstem orexin receptor OX2R expression was performed in adult mice (n = 4) in (1) rostral ventral respiratory group (rVRG) neurons projecting to the phrenic nucleus (PhN) retrogradely labeled by Fluoro-Gold (FG) tracer, (2) neurons immunoreactive for paired like homeobox 2b (Phox2b) in the parafacial respiratory group/retrotra…
Effects of endotoxin on neurally-mediated gastric acid secretion in the rat.
1998
Abstract The effects of a peripheral administration of E. coli endotoxin on neurally-mediated gastric acid secretion and the role of endogenous opioids or PAF receptors in endotoxin effects have been evaluated in the continuously perfused stomach of the anaesthetized rat. Gastric acid secretion stimulated by distension (20 cm H2O) was reduced dose-dependently by single intravenous bolus injection of endotoxin (0.1–10 μg kg−1). Doses of 5 μg kg−1 induced a peak reduction of distension-stimulated acid output and significantly reduced the secretory response induced by an intravenous bolus of 2-deoxy-d-glucose (150 mg kg−1). This dose of endotoxin did not significantly modify mean systemic arte…
Calculation of binding energy using BLYP/MM for the HIV-1 integrase complexed with the S-1360 and two analogues.
2007
Abstract Integrase (IN) is one of the three human immunodeficiency virus type 1 (HIV-1) enzymes essential for effective viral replication. S-1360 is a potent and selective inhibitor of HIV-1 IN. In this work, we have carried out molecular dynamics (MD) simulations using a hybrid Quantum Mechanics/Molecular Mechanics (QM/MM) approach, to determine the protein–ligand interaction energy for S-1360 and two analogues. Analysis of the MD trajectories reveals that the strongest protein–inhibitor interactions, observed in the three studied complexes, are established with Lys-159 residue and Mg 2+ cation. Calculations of binding energy using BLYP/MM level of theory reveal that there is a direct rela…
A3 adenosine receptor: Homology modeling and 3D-QSAR studies
2012
Adenosine receptors (AR) belong to the superfamily of G-protein-coupled receptors (GPCRs). They are divided into four subtypes (A1, A2A, A2B, and A3) [1], and can be distinguished on the basis of their distinct molecular structures, distinct tissues distribution, and selectivity for adenosine analogs [2,3]. The hA3R, the most recently identified adenosine receptor, is involved in a variety of intracellular signaling pathways and physiological functions [4]. Expression of A3R was reported to be elevated in cancerous tissues [5], and A3 antagonists have been proposed for therapeutic treatments of cancer. The recent literature availability of crystal structure of hA2A adenosine receptor (PDB c…
Task Specific Dicationic Ionic Liquids: Recyclable Reaction Media for the Mononuclear Rearrangement of Heterocycles
2014
Nine functionalized dicationic ionic liquids were used to study the base catalyzed mononuclear rearrangement of (Z)-phenylhydrazone of 3-benzoyl-5-phenyl-1,2,4-oxadiazole into the corresponding triazole at 363 K. Ionic liquids were characterized by the presence of 1-(1-imidazolylmethyl)-3,5-di[1-(3'-octylimidazolylmethyl)]benzene cation, bearing on the structure a neutral imidazole unit as basic functionality. Besides anions generally used for monocationic ionic liquids, such as [Br(-)], [BF4(-)], and [NTf2(-)], also dianions having a rigid aromatic spacer such as 1,4-benzenedicarboxylate, 2,6-naphthalenedicarboxylate, and 1,5- and 2,6-naphthalenedisulfonate were taken into account. Further…
On the Rearrangement in Dioxane/Water of (Z)-Arylhydrazones of 5-Amino-3-benzoyl-1,2,4-oxadiazole into (2-Aryl-5-phenyl-2H-1,2,3-triazol-4-yl)ureas: …
2006
We have recently evidenced an interesting differential behavior in the reactivity in dioxane/water between the (Z)-2,4-dinitrophenylhydrazone (1a) and the (Z)-phenylhydrazone (1b) of 5-amino-3-benzoyl-1,2,4- oxadiazole. The former rearranges into the relevant triazole 2a only at pS+ > 4.5 while undergoing hydrolysis at high proton concentration (pS+ < 3.5); on the contrary, the latter rearranges into 2b in the whole pS+ range examined (0.1 e pS+ e 14.9). Thus, for a deeper understanding of these differences we have now collected kinetic data on the rearrangement in dioxane/water of a series of 3- or 4-substituted (Z)-phenylhydrazones (1c-l) of 5-amino-3-benzoyl-1,2,4-oxadiazole in a wide ra…
