Space‐vector state dynamic model of SynRM considering self‐ and cross‐saturation and related parameter identification

This study proposes a state formulation of the space-vector dynamic model of the Synchronous Reluctance Motor (SynRM) considering both saturation and cross-saturation effects. The proposed model adopts the stator currents as state variables and has been theoretically developed in both the rotor and stator reference frames. The proposed magnetic model is based on a flux versus current approach and relies on the knowledge of 11 parameters. Abstract The paper presents results related to assessment of the repeatability and reproducibility of the measurement test setup for determination the relative value of the shielding effectiveness coefficient of the industrial connectors. The construction of the proposed test setup, the measurement method and the procedure for the analysis of measurement results were described. To determine the value of the repeatability and reproducibility coefficient, the two–way analysis of variance was used, which additionally allows for an assessment of the influence of individual sources of variance. The aim of this paper is the low-cost experimental implementation of a field oriented control strategy for a Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motor (PMSM) by using an Atmel SAM3X8E microcontroller, mounted on an Arduino DUE board. The integration of virtualized FPGA-based hardware accelerators in a cloud computing is progressing from time to time. As the FPGA has limited resources, the dynamic partial reconfiguration capability of the FPGA is considered to share resources among different virtualized IPs during runtime. On the other hand, the NoC is a promising solution for communication among virtualized FPGA-based IPs. However, not all the virtualized regions of the FPGA will be active all the time. Computer-aided analysis and design procedure for rotating induction machine magnetic circuits and windings

The aim of this study is to present a new, accurate, and user-friendly software procedure for the analysis and rapid design of rotating induction machine windings, considering both the electric and the magnetic specifications of the machine itself. This procedure is a valid aid for quick first stage design without the necessity of using finite element method (FEM)-based design procedures. FEM can be used in a second design phase in order to refine the first stage results. The design procedure is hereafter outlined and some examples show its capability.

Laser control in open molecular systems: STIRAP and Optimal Control

We examine the effect of dissipation on the laser control of a process that transforms a state into a superposed state. We consider a two-dimensional double well of a single potential energy surface. In the context of reactivity, the objective of the control is the localization in a given well, for instance the creation of an enantiomeric form whereas for quantum gates, this control corresponds to one of the transformation of the Hadamard gate. pKa at Quartz/Electrolyte Interfaces.

Acidity of silanol sites at the crystalline quartz/aqueous electrolyte (NaCl, NaI, KCl) interfaces are calculated from ab initio molecular dynamics simulations. pKa’s are found to follow a combination of the cationic and anionic Hofmeister series in the order pKa(neat solution) < pKa(NaCl) < pKa(NaI) < pKa(KCl), in agreement with experimental measurements. Rationalization of this ranking is achieved in terms of the microscopic local solvation of the protonated silanols and their conjugated bases, the silanolates SiO–.
