Motivaation laadun yhteys harjoitteluun 15-vuotiailla maastohiihtäjillä

Tässä tutkimuksessa tutkittiin 15-vuotiaiden maastohiihtäjien motivaation laatua, koettua fyysistä pätevyyttä, sekä näiden tekijöiden vaikutuksia hiihtäjien kilpailu- ja harjoittelumääriin, sekä näkemykseen hiihtourastaan tulevaisuudessa. Myös sukupuolen vaikutus otettiin tutkimuksessa huomioon. Motivaation laatua pidetään keskeisenä asiana urheilijan tai liikunnan harrastajan harjoittelun ja urheilu-uran jatkumisen kannalta. Tässä tutkimuksessa motivaatiota lähestyttiin Decin ja Ryanin kehittelemän itse-määräämisteorian viitekehyksestä (1985b, 2000b, 2002). Self-determination theory has been applied to understand the role of affect in motivation and behavior in health contexts. According to self-determination theory, autonomous forms of motivation, reflecting self-endorsed reasons for acting and the satisfaction of psychological needs, are related to participation and persistence in health behavior. A randomized controlled trial was conducted to study the effectiveness of two readers’ theater (RT) programs in promoting reading skills and motivation of dysfluent readers in Grades 3–4. One program (RT Goal) included a goal of preparing a performance for an audience (n = 50), while another program (RT Practice) did not include such a goal (n = 49). A group of dysfluent readers receiving traditional oral reading intervention (Control group; n = 59) and a group of classroom peers (Mainstream group; n = 159) served as controls. A procedure to select the controlling factors connected to the slope instability has been defined. It allowed to assess the landslide susceptibility in the Rio Beiro basin (about 10 km2) over the north-eastern area of the city of Granada (Spain). Field and remote (Google EarthTM) recognition techniques allowed to generate a landslide inventory consisting in 127 phenomena. Abstract Introduction One of the most frequent complications after a total hip arthroplasty (THA) is bleeding, intravenous tranexamic acid (TXA) is used to reduce it. We considered it necessary to carry out a study to clarify which administration route is superior. Material and method Prospective, controlled and randomized study in 2 arms carried out between February 2017 and February 2018. 15 mg/kg of intravenous TXA were administered in group A and 2 g of intra-articular TXA in group B. Purpose: The effectiveness of a 12-month home-exercise program on trunk muscle strength after lumbar spine fusion surgery was evaluated. Materials and methods: Three months postoperatively, 98 patients were randomized either to the exercise group (EG), with a progressive 12-month home-based exercise program, or to usual care group (UCG), with one guidance session for light home-exercises.
