A segment of studies on group structure and performance in software engineering (SE) project-based learning (PjBL) have focused on roles, including studies that use Belbin team roles and studies that address problematic roles such as social loafing. The present study focuses on the status, which is basically missing in SE PjBL studies, although relating to roles. An identifiable segment of the previous research that relates to improving students’ group work conditions is the study of group formation and self- and peer-assessment. Tämän tutkielman tavoitteena on johtaa Keski-Suomen maakunnan panos-tuotostaulut vuoden 2011 kansallisista tauluista FLQ-menetelmän avulla ja soveltaa saatuja kertoimia Jyväskylän voima Oy:n polttoaineiden hankintojen synnyttämien aluetaloudellisten vaikutusten selvittämisessä. Välittömien ja välillisten tuotantovaikutusten lisäksi tutkimuksessa on selvitetty polttoaineiden hankintojen synnyttämät työllisyysvaikutukset sekä kulutuskysynnäksi jäävät tulovaikutukset. Hormonitoiminta on yksi eliöiden säätelyjärjestelmistä. Hyönteisillä keskeisessä osassa hormonisäätelyä ovat juveniilihormonit (JH). Niiden määrä yksilöiden elimistössä säätelee monia asioita yksilöiden kehityksestä lisääntymistoimintoihin. Juuri tehokas lisääntyminen onkin eliöiden tärkeimpiä tehtäviä. Absence of Sex Differential Plasticity to Light Availability during Seed Maturation in Geranium sylvaticum

Sex-differential plasticity (SDP) hypothesis suggests that since hermaphrodites gain fitness through both pollen and seed production they may have evolved a higher degree of plasticity in their reproductive strategy compared to females which achieve fitness only through seed production. SDP may explain the difference in seed production observed between sexes in gynodioecious species in response to resource (nutrients or water) availability. In harsh environments, hermaphrodites decrease seed production whereas females keep it relatively similar regardless of the environmental conditions. Assemblage of art, discourse and ice hockey : designing knowledge about work

This article examines speculative design's capacity to co‐produce knowledge about contradictions and potentialities of work in professional ice hockey. Building on the Deleuzian concept of assemblage, speculative design has been used for two purposes: (a) to bring together the perspectives of art, anthropology, discourse studies, and professional sports in co‐constructing knowledge about hockey work; and (b) to analyze and present the key findings of an ethnography on hockey work through an art exhibition of speculative hockey memorabilia. "Imperial Networks, Colonial Bioprospecting and Burroughs Wellcome & Co.: The Case of Strophanthus Kombe from Malawi (1859-1915)"

Recent research has begun to highlight the complex connections between colonialism, medical and scientific knowledge-production, and commercial interests. This article analyses colonial ‘bioprospecting’ through a case study of Strophanthus kombe. Used locally as an arrow poison, Strophanthus was ‘discovered’ in Malawi during David Livingstone’s Zambesi expedition. After investigation and experimentation it was subsequently used to produce a cardiac drug. The Malawian case study complements previous work on Strophanthus from West Africa.
