Lipas Liikuntapaikat.fi kansallisen liikuntapaikkatietokannan tiedot on kerätty yli 20 vuoden aikana verkostomaisessa yhteistyössä kuntien, lajiliittojen, virkistysalueyhdistysten, Suomen Kuntaliiton, liikunnan aluehallinnon ja opetus- ja kulttuuriministeriön kanssa. Tietokannan tiedot ovat jatkuvasti ylläpidettäviä. Tietojen ylläpidosta vastaavat kuntien liikuntatoimen henkilöstö. Older adults’ activity destinations before and during COVID-19 restrictions: From a variety of activities to mostly physical exercise close to home

The aim was to study various types of older adult's activity destinations (counts, frequency of visitation, and distance from home) in the pre-COVID-19 era, and to study prospectively how COVID-19-related regulations limiting mobility affected these. Using a map-based questionnaire, 75-85-year-old participants reported activity destinations, that is, any destinations for physical exercise, destinations facilitating one's outdoor mobility, and destinations for other activities, which they had visited several times during the past month. Environment, physical activity (PA) and motor development are tightly interwoven during childhood. We examined the associations of environmental factors with motor competence (MC) in children. Children (N = 945, 50.1% boys, age = 3–7 years, mean = 5.4 years) from 37 childcare centres in the Southern (n = 17), Central (n = 13) and Northern Finland (n = 7) participated. Purpose: To study the association of parents’ reports about their children’s near work and outdoor habits with myopia in their children. Methods: Data from a questionnaire study conducted in 1983 among Finnish schoolchildren were reanalyzed. Vision screening had been performed for all the schoolchildren (n = 4961) in the 1st, 5th, and 8th grades (7-, 11-, and 15-year-olds) in an area of Central Finland. Tutkimuksessa selvitettiin Jyväskylän ulkoilureiteissä viimeisten noin kymmenen vuoden aikana tapahtunutta muutosta sekä reittien nykytilaa ja kehittämistarpeita. Muutostarkasteluun sisältyi yleisen muutoksen kuvaamisen lisäksi vuoden 2009 alussa tapahtuneen Jyväskylän kaupungin, Jyväskylän maalaiskunnan ja Korpilahden kunnan kuntaliitoksen vaikutuksien arviointi. Tutkimuksessa kartoitettiin sekä kaupungin viranhaltijoiden, kolmannen sektorin että kuntalaisten näkemyksiä. Methods School children (n = 4 961) from the 1st, 5th and 8th grades of school (7-, 11- and 15-year-olds) in Central Finland were screened for vision followed by a questionnaire, which was returned by 4 352 (87.7%) participants. The prevalence of myopia has markedly increased in East and Southeast Asia, and pathologic consequences of myopia, including myopic maculopathy and high myopia-associated optic neuropathy, are now some of the most common causes of irreversible blindness. Hence, strategies are warranted to reduce the prevalence of myopia and the progression to high myopia because this is the main modifiable risk factor for pathologic myopia.
