Background The rationale for promoting increased consumption of fruit and vegetables (FV) at an early age is based on results from previous tracking-studies, indicating that dietary habits learned in childhood sustain into adulthood. http://www.graat.fr/roche.pdf; International audience; This article examines how matter, in Ellis's scandalous novel, is read according to the texts that inform the yuppie's etiquette, labeling the body as either “healthy” or “unhealthy.” Basing his argumentation on the works of Judith Butler, Luce Irigaray, Jacques Lacan, Clément Rosset and D.W. Winnicott, the author argues that the body is perceived as a sign of something when it is actually an effect of the signifier, and that the novel's excess makes the invisible workings of what Michel Foucault called “power” extremely visible. However the relationship between MHO and health-related quality of life (HRQoL) is less studied. We compared successful aging (longevity plus HRQoL) in men with MHO, metabolically healthy normal weight (MHN) and metabolically unhealthy overweight and obesity (MUO). Methods: In the Helsinki Businessmen Study longitudinal cohort, consisting of men born 1919 to 1934. Abstract Background Norwegian children have a lower intake of fruit, vegetables, and a higher intake of unhealthy snacks compared to dietary guidelines. Such dietary inadequacies may be detrimental for their current and future health. Schools are favorable settings to establish healthy eating practices. Aims: To assess adolescents’ eating/drinking habits of a selection of healthy and unhealthy food items at school, variations in gender and socioeconomic status in these eating habits, and variations between the schools. Methods: A cross-sectional study among 2870 adolescents (mean age: 15.5 years) within the Fruits and Vegetables Make the Marks (FVMM) project. The Norwegian industry-led scheme restricting marketing of unhealthy food and beverages to children

Abstract Issue The Norwegian food industry has implemented a self-regulatory scheme to restrict the marketing of unhealthy foods and beverages to children under the age of 13 years. In the period 2014-2019, the scheme has treated 77 complaints and made 126 assessments of planned marketing campaigns. Disease and Anti-Naturalism in Raymond Carver's “Fat” and “A Small, Good Thing” and David Lynch's Blue Velvet

International audience; This paper does not explore possible references to Carver in Lynch's films, but offers a comparative study of their representations of disease. Based primarily on a play between metonymy and metaphor, this aesthetic of contamination contributes to a critical discourse on naturalist thought.
