Tutkimuksessa tarkastellaan kodin ja koulun välistä vuorovaikutusta peruskoulun yläasteella. Ilmiötä lähestytään sekä koulun että kodin näkökulmista. Tutkimuksessa kysytään, millaisia merkityksiä ja toimintapaikkoja vanhemmat saavat koulun arjessa, tarkastellaan vanhempien tulkintoja koulusta sekä kodin ja koulun yhteistyöstä sekä pohditaan opettajuuden ja vanhemmuuden yhteen kietoutumista. Vanhemmuutta lähestytään analyysissä sukupuolittuneena ja erilaisten sosiaalisten asemien haltijoina. This text is part of the author’s research on the literary culture of the nineteenth-century Upper Silesia. The author shows that at the forefront of modern Europe (at the beginning of industrialization and urbanization of the continent) the autochthon writers of Upper Silesia undertook actions aimed at fostering cultural awareness amongst their compatriots, who were considered to belong to a national minority, in order to instil patriotic feelings in them. In the current post-colonial discourse their struggles are recognized as the “voice of the periphery”. Similar to various other diatopic varieties of German language, one finds numerous person names in Upper Silesian German, in which all possible qualities and modes of existence of the human being are focused and expressed. In the article attention is drawn once to the semantic classes oc-curring here, as well as to the types of nomination activated in the formation of the names, and then to the word formation types and the languages from which the morphemes forming the names were derived.

The low level of physical activity among young people has become a common societal concern. This study sought new information on the backgrounds of adolescents’ physical activity. The aim was to find out whether the adolescents’ subjective social status is related to physical activity. The data were collected as part of the follow-up research and evaluation of the Finnish Schools on the Move programme in 2012–2015. Nonconstructive proofs are a powerful mechanism in mathematics. Furthermore, nonconstructive computations by various types of machines and automata have been considered by e.g., Karp and Lipton [17] and Freivalds [11]. They allow to regard more complicated algorithms from the viewpoint of much more primitive computational devices. Search for scalar leptoquarks in pp collisions at $\sqrt{s}$=13 TeV with the ATLAS experiment

An inclusive search for a new-physics signature of lepton-jet resonances has been performed by the ATLAS experiment. Scalar leptoquarks, pair-produced in pp collisions at s √s = 13 TeV at the large hadron collider, have been considered. An integrated luminosity of 3.2 fb-1, corresponding to the full 2015 dataset was used. First (second) generation leptoquarks were sought in events with two electrons (muons) and two or more jets. The observed event yield in each channel is consistent with Standard Model background expectations. The observed (expected) lower limits on the leptoquark mass at 95% confidence level are 1100 and 1050 GeV (1160 and 1040 GeV) for first and second generation leptoqua…
Search for the Decay of the Higgs Boson to Charm Quarks with the ATLAS Experiment

A direct search for the standard model Higgs boson decaying to a pair of charm quarks is presented. Associated production of the Higgs and Z bosons, in the decay mode ZH→ℓ+ℓ−c¯c is studied. A data set with an integrated luminosity of 36.1 fb−1 of pp collisions at √s=13TeV recorded by the ATLAS experiment at the LHC is used. The H→c¯c signature is identified using charm-tagging algorithms. The observed (expected) upper limit on σ(pp→ZH)×B(H→c¯c) is 2.7 (3.9+2.1−1.1) pb at the 95% confidence level for a Higgs boson mass of 125 GeV, while the standard model value is 26 fb.
