Sport sponsorship in Finland: the case study of FC JJK Jyväskylä

This paper seeks to analyse sport sponsorship in Finland via using the case study of Football Club JJK Jyväskylä from the Finnish Premier League. The results of a master’s thesis conducted on FC JJK fans’ sponsor awareness and sponsor orientation is presented. This research has provided implications to the management of the club, such as how to increase sponsorship efficiency, how to benefit from applying sponsorship alignment as well as relationship marketing. In order to successfully implement the study, an on­line survey, interviews, and participant observation was utilised. In addition, statistical data were obtained from the club. Charity gardens are a proposal for social intervention, which may form part of social and labour active inclusion policies, within the structure of the territory, generating a social and economic system. This study examines the model of French garden created in Réseau Cocagne and compares this with the analysis of similar business cases found in Spain. The paper focuses on the importance of using traditional agricultural spaces in peri-urban areas, through being areas where several factors and functions converge, capable of generating social, economic and environmental wealth helping to promote social inclusion.

The principles of sustainable urban growth have been developed by researchers from a variety of disciplinary backgrounds. They all have tried to provide compelling visions of an economically, socially, environmentally and spatially balanced urban environment. In other words, they have striven for a concept of a city that is harmonious in terms of housing, spatial accessibility, preservation of cultural heritage and political stability. It appears that for some actors of urban life, the sustainable development model has become a blueprint for action while for others it represents a kind of utopia, a contemporary image of the ideal city and state.

Tereny zieleni w mieście są istotnym zagadnieniem w kształtowaniu struktury funkcjonalno-przestrzennej miasta, a także kształtowania jego rozwoju w sposób zrównoważony. W literaturze przedmiotu zwraca się uwagę na konieczność dążenia do równowagi między celami społecznymi, ekologicznymi i ekonomicznymi, które powinny być definiowane w polityce rozwoju jednostek terytorialnych różnych szczebli, w tym także miast.
