La presente ricerca trae spunto dal ruolo che l’energia dovrebbe assumere all’interno della disciplina urbanistica preposta a regolamentare le trasformazioni fisico-spaziali delle città, determinate anche dal sistema di approvvigionamento energetico. A partire dalle riflessioni finalizzate ad esplorare il tema e sue interazioni con la questione ambientale, sostenibilità e sistema urbano – la tesi vuole dimostrare, attraverso il caso studio della normativa francese e del progetto urbano della Confluence la possibilità di inte(g)razione tra la variabile energia e gli strumenti urbanistici proponendo una trasferibilità degli esiti nella regione Sicilia.
