This article examines memorialization among the family and friends of those who have died at the world’s deadliest border in the Mediterranean Sea. Digital media platforms are central spaces for new, innovative forms of coping with ambiguous loss or the inability to mourn over a dead body. The analysis focuses on the role of digital media technologies and the relationship between digital and material elements in memorialization. I examine the creation and circulation of digital objects of memorialization: visual assemblages in which the material and digital intertwine. Invasive marbled crayfish Procambarus virginalis (Lyko, 2017) is spreading alarmingly fast across European countries and beyond. Early maturation, parthenogenetic reproduction mode and high growth rate contribute to a high potential invasiveness. Marbled crayfish can pose severe effects on native communities impacting the native crayfish populations being carrier of the crayfish plague disease caused by Aphanomyces astaci. The paper at­tempts to answer this question by proposing a re-interpretation of flexicurity through the comparison with the economic concepts of externalities and distortion of competition. Uskonyhteisöjen toimesta on perustettu hautausmaita, jotta yhteisöjen kuolleet jäsenet saadaan sijoitettua johonkin yhteisössä vallitsevien tapojen ja käytänteiden mukaisesti. Tämän tutkimuksen kohde, Jyväskylän Vanha hautausmaa perustettiin vuonna 1837 kehittyvän ja laajentuvan kaupungin laitamille huolehtimaan yhteisön edesmenneistä jäsenistä. Tässä tutkimuksessa tutkitaan Vanhan hautausmaan vaiheita vuosien 1956–1971 välisenä aikana. Initial-Stage Suicide Bereavement Experiences: A Case Study.

This study aimed to shed light on the initial-stage bereavement experiences of an individual bereaved by suicide, at three months from the loss of his spouse to suicide. A semi-structured in-depth interview was conducted with the individual, a man in his thirties. The data were analyzed using qualitative assimilation analysis, based on the Assimilation Model and the Assimilation of Problematic Experiences Scale (APES). The APES ratings of the interview revealed that the individual’s bereavement was associated with the earlier stages of APES (all scoring under 3.5).
