One of the major benefits of SDL is the possibility to graphically describe a complex system, as well as the capability to analyze the system before implementation. Kritiske ytringer om pave Frans framsettes som regel på konservativt og tradisjonalistisk katolsk hold. Denne artikkelen sikter på å presentere en progressivt fundert kritikk av det nåværende pontifikatet. Frans krediteres for gode intensjoner, pastoralt lederskap og motstand mot klerikalistiske holdninger. Men da han ikke har maktet – og kanskje heller ikke tilstrekkelig klart ønsket – å endre kirkens utdaterte hierarkiske struktur, er han ingen løsning på de store utfordringene Den katolske kirke lenge har stått overfor.
