Tarkastelen pro gradu -tutkielmassani harvaanasutun maaseudun kunnan paikallisidenti- teettiä kuntarakenneuudistuksen ajassa. Tutkimuskohteena oleva Pohjois-Savossa sijaitse- va Rautalampi on hieman alle 3 500 asukkaan kunta, joka on ollut vuosisatoja aikaisemmin ollut 27 myöhemmin siitä irtaantuneen kunnan alueelle ulottuva emäpitäjä. Tutkimuksen tavoitteena on selvittää mistä rautalampilainen paikallisidentiteetti muodostuu ja mille ryhmälle rautalampilainen paikallisidentiteetti on merkityksellinen. Browsing hinders the regeneration of broadleaved trees in uneven-aged forest management in southern Finland

Uneven-aged forest management has attained increasing popularity. It may benefit biodiversity, buffer against pests and abiotic damages, decrease runoff from clearcuts and improve recreational values. We studied how gap cuttings and single-tree selection cuttings influence browsing damage in spruce-dominated forests in south-central Finland. Overall, browsing damage was especially frequent in aspen and rowan, but also in birch. The larger the basal area left in harvesting, the lower the browsing pressure on birch and rowan; neither the harvesting method nor the seedling density had an independent effect on browsing damage. Pro gradu -työssäni tutkin lehden työprosesseja ja lehtikonseptissa ilmeneviä ongelmia ja analysoin, millaisiin journalistisessa työssä ja journalismissa tapahtuneisiin muutoksiin ne kytkeytyvät. Tutkimuskohteenani on erään järjestölehden kehittämishanke ja lehtikonseptiuudistus. Aineisto on peräisin Taideteollisen korkeakoulun tutkimus- ja kehittämishankkeesta, joka järjestettiin järjestölehdessä vuosina 2008–2009. Lehden levikki oli ollut jo usean vuoden ajan laskussa, joten lehtikonsepti päätettiin uudistaa. AbstractThe study aims to gain a better understanding on how curriculum making regulated by reform’s implementation strategy contributes to teachers’ and teacher communities perceived curriculum coherence, and further to the impact that reform has on school development. Pekka Kanervion tutkimus tuo esille yksityiskoulujen maailmaa esittelemällä erään suomalaisen yksityisen koulun selviytymistä ongelmista, jotka alkoivat, kun peruskoululainsäädäntö ei huomioinut yksityiskouluja ja niiden rahoitusta.
