Negative frequency-dependence, which favors rare genotypes, promotes the maintenance of genetic variability and is of interest as a potential explanation for genetic differentiation. Density-dependent selection may also promote cyclic changes in frequencies of genotypes. Here we show evidence for both density-dependent and negative frequency-dependent selection on opposite life-history tactics (low or high reproductive effort, RE) in the bank vole (Myodes glareolus). The Psychometric properties of the resilience scale (RS-14) in Lithuanian adolescents

In the current study, we provided the evidence of satisfactory validity of the RS-14 scale in the Lithuanian adolescents’ sample (N = 1299; Mage = 14.24; SDage = 1.26), based on its internal structure, and relations to other variables. The results of the study indicated an acceptable model fit for a single-factor structure of the scale with a high internal consistency (McDonald’s omega = 0.89). We also confirmed the scalar measurement invariance across groups of adolescents in terms of their age (i.e., early and middle adolescence) and mental health profile as well as partial scalar gender invariance. Tässä tutkielmassa tarkasteltiin systemaattisen kirjallisuuskatsauksen avulla urheiluvalmentajien vuorovaikutusosaamista. Tutkielman tarkoituksena oli selvittää ja jäsennellä, minkälaista tutkimusta urheiluvalmentajien vuorovaikutusosaamisesta on tehty 2000-luvun ensimmäisillä vuosikymmenillä. Tavoitteena oli selvittää, mitä urheiluvalmentajan vuorovaikutusosaamisen osa-alueita on tutkittu, mistä näkökulmista, missä konteksteissa ja millä menetelmillä sitä on tutkittu sekä millaisia tuloksia tutkimuksissa on saatu. An interesting yet largely unstudied question regarding labour migration behaviour and residence duration is whether migration becomes more or less likely over time. This paper analyses the determinants of residence duration for Finnish graduates. Our results affirm the importance of cumulative inertia as a determinant of migration. The longer a person stays in a region, the smaller are the hazard rates of migration. However, for those graduates who moved to a new region during their year of graduation, the propensity for repeat migration is particularly high during their first three years of residence.
